The Feast of Tabernacles – God Living with Man

ABOUT THIS TEACHING

This Teaching examines Sukkot (the Feast of Tabernacles) as Yehovah’s appointed time of rejoicing, temporary dwellings, harvest thanksgiving, and remembrance of His presence with Israel. Ed begins with the commands in Leviticus 23, discusses the first and eighth-day assemblies, describes practical ways families can build or occupy a sukkah, and connects the tabernacle in the wilderness to God’s promised dwelling with His people. He then explores future worship in Zechariah 14, the harvest imagery of Matthew 13 and Revelation 14, the seven-year Torah reading, Solomon’s temple dedication, the Transfiguration, and a proposed chronology of Yeshua’s birth based on priestly divisions and Luke 1. The concluding audience discussion addresses how believers plan for annual Sabbaths and respond to unavoidable conflicts with humility and grace.

KEY SCRIPTURES

  • Leviticus 23:33-44 – Yehovah appoints the Feast of Tabernacles on the fifteenth day of the seventh month, calls for seven days of celebration and booth dwelling, and identifies the eighth-day sacred assembly.
  • Leviticus 23:39-43 – The feast follows ingathering, commands rejoicing and temporary booths, and connects the practice to Israel’s rescue from Egypt.

  • Matthew 13:36-43 – Yeshua explains harvest as the end of the age; the Teaching interprets Sukkot’s agricultural ingathering through that image.
  • Revelation 14:14-20 – Images of reaping and the winepress accompany the end-time harvest; the speaker connects these pictures to the fall feast.
  • Nehemiah 8:13-18 – Those returned from exile build booths, read the Law, rejoice, and observe the eighth-day assembly.

  • 2 Chronicles 5:1-14 – Solomon’s temple dedication includes a seventh-month feast and a cloud filling the house; the speaker draws a Tabernacles parallel.
  • Revelation 21:1-4 – The dwelling of God is with humanity, and mourning and death pass away; central to the Teaching’s “God living with man” theme.
  • Revelation 21:22-25 – God’s glory illuminates the holy city; the Teaching compares this with divine glory filling the temple.
  • 2 Peter 1:16-18 – Peter recalls witnessing Yeshua’s majesty at the Transfiguration, used to introduce the proposed Tabernacles symbolism.

  • Luke 1:26-45 – Gabriel speaks to Mary in Elizabeth’s sixth month, providing an interval for the speaker’s proposed birth-date reconstruction.
  • 1 Chronicles 24:1-19 – The priestly divisions include Abijah as the eighth course; the Teaching uses that sequence for an estimated calendar calculation.
  • John 1:14 – The Word becomes flesh and dwells among us; a direct theological connection to the festival’s dwelling motif.
  • John 7:2-39 – Yeshua participates in Tabernacles and teaches about living water; a direct Gospel connection to the feast.

Chapter 1: Introduction to Tabernacles

so the Feast of Tabernacles um if you recall we’ll do this a couple of times during the course of our lesson today is just recalling some of the things that we’ve learned up to this point as it pertains to the festivals amongst many other things we learned that the Feast of Trumpets is a type it is an omen that is looking forward to the second coming of Christ in which he’ll be announced by trumpets uh last week we learned that the the Day of Atonement is basically the day of judgment when um those who are his will be ultimately redeemed and welcomed into the the New Jerusalem and of course you recall a couple weeks back we did a study on the New Jerusalem which was really really awesome um and then today we’re looking at the Feast of Tabernacles which really is all about God living with his people the image that you see there on the screen is what it looked like in the desert at the base of Mount Sinai with Israel camped around the

Tabernacle and so the the flame obviously representing the fire by night and there was Smoke by day representing or being the actual presence of God amongst his people in Hebrew it’s called Sukkot and we’re going to learn a little bit more about what that means in the course of the um in the course of the study so let me start here with a question for you guys imagine bringing someone from a tribal Community from I don’t know South America or Africa into your home to spend a year with you and your family which American holidays May freak them out a bit or appear to be really strange to their eyes Halloween okay Halloween yeah what else so he says maybe Thanksgiving I don’t know that’s just a big fancy meal right Christmas Christmas yes so yeah we have Christmas right Christmas would definitely kind of be weird because what’s up what this this dude in a red suit and a big flowing white beard and and uh you know if again if you’re

someone from a far away land maybe even a tribal community and you come to to America during Christmas time this practice this tradition would be really strange to his eyes or his or her eyes right people are giving presents there’s reindeers one of them’s got a light on his nose there’s Santa with this you know funky looking fat dude with a big white beard it might be weird what about Easter yep Easter would also be kind of weird wouldn’t it what in the world do bunnies have to do with eggs and why are you painting these eggs and why are you hiding these eggs and wine is a rabbit you know have anything to do with with this holiday it might be a weird thing for them and then you mentioned Halloween right that’s the day when we all are dressing around like zombies and witches and monsters and all kinds of stuff that would definitely be weird strange to their eyes and then I thought the Fourth of July would also be weird why because

we’re blowing things up right why are we blowing things up why aren’t we’re on all these things in the Sky What’s Happening Here why are you guys doing this it would be kind of strange and I want you to keep that in mind and just just remember that to someone who’s not an American or someone who has not had uh access to the American culture these things would be weird and they might be hesitant to observe them the question is which of these holidays that we mentioned are commanded by God done zero none of them are right none of these holidays are commanded by God they are completely invented by human tradition

Chapter 2: Biblical commands for Sukkot

the teaching of the of the Tabernacles we find in Leviticus 23 verses 33-34 then the Lord spoke to Moses saying speak to the children of Israel saying the 15th day of the seventh month shall be the Feast of Tabernacles for seven days to the Lord on the first day there shall be a holy convocation and remember what a holy convocation is that’s a gathering of all the people together kind of a corporate congregational Gathering and if you recall from previous lessons what’s its purpose they’re they are they are there to rehearse something that’s happening in the future right that’s what a holy convocation is you shall do no customary work on it that what does that mean that’s a Sabbath for seven days there shall be an offering made by fire to the Lord on the Eighth Day ye shall have a holy convocation so there’s that seven day holiday saddled by two Gatherings both of them are sabbaths and you shall offer an offering made by fire to the

Lord it is a sacred assembly and you shall do no customary work on it now a little side note um our one of the mild congregation um several years back three or four years back decided they were going to have a sacred assembly and um this this was right in the middle of when I’m learning and understanding these things from a purely biblical perspective and I just got so disappointed because they wanted to hijack this word this phrase sacred assembly and turn it into some special church service while at the same time denying the reason that we have in a sacred assembly that being the festival the Feast of Tabernacles um classic picking and choosing of things that they want to from the Old Testament that somehow makes their New Testament teachings kind of tastier better Holier um anyways that’s just a side note uh this this is a sacred assembly and we’re going to talk about what that means more as we move along here also on the 15th of

the seventh month when you have gathered in the fruit of the land uh you shall keep the feasts of the Lord for seven days on the in the first day there shall be a Sabbath rest and on the eighth day of Sabbath rest and you shall take for yourselves on the first day the fruit of beautiful trees branches of palm trees and bows of leafy trees and Willows of the brook and you shall rejoice before the Lord your God for seven days you shall keep it as a feast to the Lord for seven days in the year it shall be a statute forever in your Generations you shall celebrate it in the seventh month it’s the Hebrew seventh month you shall dwell in booths for seven days all who are native Israelites shall dwell in booths that your generation may know that I made the children of Israel dwell in Boots when I brought them out of the land of Egypt I am the Lord your God so Moses declared to the children of Israel the feasts of the Lord

Chapter 3: Tishri festival refresher

so let’s go back and take a look at the month of Tishri that is the Hebrew seventh month and just kind of get a refresher on some of the things that we’ve learned so far so the Feast of Trumpets is a one-day festival or one day Feast there is a Sabbath on that day and it comes on the first of the month of Tishri and then 10 days later or I guess nine days later is the Feast of Atonement and that is also a One Day Festival that is a Sabbath and then on the 15th of the month is the festival the Feast of Tabernacles and it’s a Seven Day Festival saddled by two sabbaths now based on what we just read in the scripture we see that on the first of the month being a festival of trumpets it is for everyone it is for Israel and the Sojourner we see that atonement is also for everyone for Israel and the Sojourner but then we get to Tabernacles and we see that it’s for Israel only now based on what you’ve already learned in these studies let me

ask you the question why I would just think and again I’m still learning a bunch of this but uh it’s because it’s because it represents God dwelling with his people so you either his people are not as people so if you’re I mean I don’t know maybe I’m wrong okay thank you Jeff anybody else is it a reference to the being in the desert with of God as the fire the pillar of fire and smoke and it was that was just Israel okay not quite but you’re on the right track let me let me explain it to you what does trumpets represent this the second coming right the second return that’s when Yeshua comes back what does atonement represent forgiveness it represents judgment and remember when Jesus returns on the Feast of Trumpets who’s going to be there everyone on the planet right they’re all going to see it when judgment happens who’s going to be there everyone after the judgment that’s going to be only the Israel right post judgment you understand

that so after Jesus has separated the sheep and the goats oh I know did you say no I did say that okay

Chapter 4: Spiritual Israel explained

let me let me back up here and explain this again remember these holidays are all pointing to coming events of what’s actually going to happen trumpets is for everyone Israel and the Sojourner or I should say Israel and the non Hebrew and the reason that is is because when Jesus returns everybody’s going to be present it’s not just going to be Israel that sees Jesus return it’s going to be the world the same is also true of the Day of Atonement when everybody will be there facing judgment but after the Judgment after Yeshua has separated the sheep and the goats after the sons of God have been revealed and the feasts of Tabernacles when God lives with his people it will only be the Israel and excuse me I I use the word the Israel intentionally because we see it in Galatians 6. where Paul uses this phrase Tha Israel as a reference to those people who are the elect those people who are Jesus’s people at the End of the Age my wife said she

thought we were talking about Tabernacles as of today well no um like for instance all of these festivals we we observed them uh every every year right but the Feast of Tabernacles as that passage that we just read said it was for the native born only right and so if it’s for the native born only then we have to fast forward that standard to the eventual reality of the real Tabernacles of the Fulfillment of the Tabernacles so in the final I guess Tabernacles after Yeshua has made his judgments then he will live with his people he will live with the spiritual Israel does that make sense now Joy is shaking her head no I’m not sure how else to better explain that is anybody else confused yes I am confused well maybe you can uh put your share your confusions confusing thoughts so I can see if I can unravel them what’s confusing about it um it’s when when it Galatians he’s referring to the elect of God’s people that is not inclusive of

people who are grafted into Israel oh okay that’s a great question no of course it is the Israel when I say the Israel I’m not talking about genetic Israel okay that’s my confusion I’m talking about the Israel because when we become Christians we are grafted into Israel now does that make us Jewish no but it does make us Israel yeah that clears it up thank you okay good I’m glad we’ve we’ve we figured that out because I want to make sure you guys understand so is there a practice on Sukkot or

Chapter 5: Observing the feast today

Tabernacles that may be strange to our Western eyes remember that first slide that we talked about weirdness well there is in Leviticus 23 and he says you shall dwell in booths for seven days all who are native Israelites shall dwell in booths that your Generations may know that I may the children of Israel dwell in booths when I brought them out of the land of Egypt’s eye in the Lord your God well what in the world that’s by that’s why by the way this is also called The Feast of Booths and that’s what Sukkot means Feast of Booths or the Feast of Sukkot and this is definitely to our Western eyes a weird Command right what does it mean to dwell in booths well as you saw in the previous picture the very first picture they were basically in booths they were basically in their tents or their Tabernacles living in the presence of God now what is a what does this look like in in real life well Asuka is basically something that you would

build to mimic if you will these these booths these Tabernacles and I want to show you some examples that’s of some that people build as being one made out of two by fours one might in obedience to this passage sit out in their backyard at night and have dinner with some candles lit you know with their family here’s a very here’s another similar one um where they just take you know four poles and drape it with some type of material or blankets and cover it with some palm branches if you got them this is the one that I plan on building next week I think it’s probably the simplest one I may not do the drapes but those uh lattices you can buy at a Home Depot or Lowe’s with some zip ties and make you know three walls in a roof pretty fast and then you know put a couple of chairs in there and my wife and I will go out and maybe have dinner and and talk and in obedience to this passage but then the other thing that people do to celebrate

this is they actually go on a camping trip for seven days and they build their sukkahs their tents around the uh the fire pit uh kind of you know um symbolizing what it was like to be actually in the desert you know around uh the Tabernacle with the uh the presence of God by fire there at night this is something I I would like to do someday we’re not big campers but I think it would be fun now unlike Christmas Easter Halloween and the Fourth of July this is commanded and I think it’s important to make to make that point because why would we do such a seemingly strange thing well again it’s a rehearsal it’s a it’s it’s our holy convocation it’s our it’s our practice if you will for the time when God will actually live with his people and I personally think it’s a very beautiful practice just the idea of of doing something like this uh once a year and you know by candlelight outside it’s it’s you know for many places of the world it’s

it’s fall um you know unless you’re in Phoenix Arizona and it’s still 110 degrees in September sorry about that guys oh yeah our taxes is not not that great either but it’s getting cooler let’s just put it that way uh I think it’s a beautiful a beautiful practice so when was the first Sukkot well

Chapter 6: Origins of the Tabernacle

remember from our previous lessons Moses received atonement for Israel after the golden calf incident we recall we went over that last week he came down from the mountain after a second 40-day period and that was in Exodus chapter 32 where we learned that and here we are in Exodus chapter 33 where we read Moses took his tent and pitched it outside the camp far from the camp and called it the Tabernacle of meeting and it came to pass that everyone who sought the Lord went out to the Tabernacle of meeting which was outside the camp so it was whenever Moses went outside to the Tabernacle but all the people Rose and each man stood at his tent door and watched Moses until he had gone into the Tabernacle and it came to pass when Moses entered the Tabernacle that the pillar of cloud descended and stood at the door of the Tabernacle and the Lord talked with Moses and all the people saw the pillar of clouds standing at the Tabernacle door and

other people Rose and worshiped each man in his tent or his Tabernacle door so the Lord spoke to Moses face to face as a man speaks to his friend Glenn is texting me I’m not going to look at that right now plan so here we see this this this beautiful picture of the Tabernacle uh so to speak being created if you will or where where it began the Bible says that it was put outside the camp but later on in in the book we see that God tells them to Camp around it um and I just personally when I read this passage I try to put myself there and what that must have been like when Moses entered the Tabernacle the pillar of cloud descended and stood at the door of the Tabernacle and the Lord taught Moses I mean that just can you imagine being can you imagine standing at the entrance of your own tent and looking over and seeing this event happen I mean it was just it blows my mind just to think about it and yet this is what we have to look

Chapter 7: Future fulfillment prophecy

forward to and Zechariah prophesied of course we know this passage because we’ve read it several times that it shall come to pass that everyone who was left of all the nations this is talking about after the second coming after Jesus does what he’s going to do but all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall go up from year to year to worship the king the Lord of Hosts and to what to keep the Feast of Tabernacles so when Yeshua Returns the New Jerusalem is here the Bible says that those Nations that were still alive because he’s gonna he’s gonna come and and war against these nations they will come to the New Jerusalem for the express purpose of keeping the Feast of Tabernacles and it shall be that whichever of the families of the earth do not come up to Jerusalem to worship the king the Lord of Hosts on them there will be no rain the family of Egypt will not come up and enter and they shall have no Reign they shall receive the

plague with which the Lord strikes the Nations who do not come up to keep the feasts of Tabernacles this shall be the punishment of Egypt and the punishment of all the nations that do not come up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles so we see he even in the end times even after all this stuff has happened all these things that we’re looking forward to have actually happened in the New Jerusalem is on the Earth that this Festival God expects people to observe now this one passage alone for those of us who have a hard time thinking that Christians should be obeying the festivals should show you otherwise if God expects these things to be observed in the future when he’s here he expects us to observe them now when he’s not otherwise we won’t know we won’t know anything about this

Chapter 8: A celebration of harvest

Sukkot or Tabernacles is a celebration of the Harvest Deuteronomy 16 16 says three times a year all your mail shall appear before the Lord your God in the place which he chooses at the Feast of Unleavened Bread and and unleavened bread and Passover happened almost synonymously Passover begins and then the Sundown of the same day unleavened bread begins so Passover unleavened bread the Feast of Weeks what is that that’s Pentecost and A Feast of Tabernacles and they shall not appear before the Lord empty-handed every man shall give us his able according to the blessing of the Lord your God which he has given you so three times a year everyone is supposed to appear they’re called pilgrimage festivals for the other festivals you were not required to be in Jerusalem but for these three God wanted everybody there Exodus 23. three times you shall keep a feast to me in the year you shall keep the Feast of Unleavened Bread you shall eat

unleavened bread for seven days as I can manage you at the time upon it in the month of Habib for in it you came out of Egypt None Shall appear me before me empty and the Feast of harvest the First Fruits of your labors which you have sown in the field and the Feast of Ingathering okay so here we have in these two passages God using different names for these festivals in the first passage in Deuteronomy 16 he calls Pentecost the Feast of Weeks in the second passage he calls it the Feast of harvest in the first passage he calls Tabernacles the Feast of Tabernacles here in Exodus he calls it the Feast of Ingathering hmm what did that mean remember type versus anti-type at the end of the year when you have gathered in the fruit of your labors from the field so let’s recall then Passover and unleavened bread if you remember the agricultural standard or schedule was a harvest of what anybody remember barley Pentecost was what anybody

remember wheat Tabernacles was the Harvest of what great Joy said great or fruit right so in this agricultural scenario we have three different Harvest Tabernacles being the Harvest of fruit now understanding this helps us to understand things in our New Testament a little bit better in Matthew 13 Jesus said he answered and said to them he who sows The Good Seed is the Son of Man the field is the world the good seeds are the sons of the Kingdom but the tares or the weeds or the sons of the wicked one the enemy who sowed them as the devil and the Harvest is the end of the egg and the reapers are the Angels therefore as the tares are gathered and burned in the fire so it will be at the end of the age Revelation 14 that I looked and behold the White Cloud and on the clouds that one like the Son of Man having on his head a Golden Crown and in his hand a sharp sickle another angel came out of the temple crying with a loud voice to him who

sat on the cloud thrust in your sickle and reap the time has come for you to reap for the Harvest of the earth is right so he who sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the Earth and the Earth was reaped what was reaped well we know in this case it’s the fruit right because that’s what’s happening that’s what’s being harvested at Tabernacles keep that in mind

Chapter 9: Rejoicing and gathering

because we’re going to come back to it a little bit later here Sukkot is a time of rejoicing Leviticus 23 says he shall take for yourselves on the first day the fruit of beautiful trees branches of palm trees the bows of leafy trees and the Willows of the brute Brook and you shall rejoice before your God for seven days so Sukkot Tabernacles is a time of rejoicing it’s a time of gladness it’s a time of worship singing rejoicing dancing and happiness and the Bible says for seven days now remembering the Tabernacles is when God lives with man can you begin to see why way back in Leviticus 23 God was telling his people that this time is going to be a time of rejoicing certainly you can see that it’s going to be a seven day long party for who for the elect for those who were welcomed into God’s rest for those who Yeshua said well done good and faithful servant and that’s why even then his people are going to be worshiping singing rejoicing

dancing for seven days first with the Sabbath and then it ends with the Sabbath why well because we’re fired up that we made it we’re fired up that we got our crowns we’re fired up that we’re with Yeshua at the end of time and the party is going to last for seven days Nehemiah 8 it says then the people went out and brought them and made themselves booze each one on the roof of his house or in their Courtyards of the courts the house of God and the open Square of the Watergate and in the open Square of the Gate of ephrine so the whole assembly of those who would return from the Captivity made booths and sat under the booths for since the days of Joshua the son of none until the day of the children of Israel had not done so and there was very great gladness also by day from the first day until the last he read from the book of The Law of God and they kept the feast seven days and on the eighth day there was a sacred assembly according to

the prescribed manner so here again we see there’s going to be gladness but then there’s two other things that happens on this time it’s a studying of the Torah or a reading of the Torah plus this thing called a sacred assembly now try to imagine this time okay try to imagine what that’s going to be like for seven days we are going to be so happy the tears of our of our eyes will be wiped Away by none other than Yeshua himself we’re going to be singing we’re going to be dancing we’re going to be smiling it’s going to be the most incredible emotional experience that a human being will ever be able to experience and they’ll be the word being read

Chapter 10: The Eighth Day assembly

and then we see this thing called The Sacred assembly now I can only imagine like that song says what that’s going to be like seven days has passed seven days of just celebration of being in awe of looking around at the New Jerusalem this structure these mansions that Yeshua said he was preparing for his people we’re going to be there we’re going to be inside the gates where Yeshua is the light where there’s not going to be the need for a Sun or a moon and rejoicing and then the Eighth Day is going to be that Shabbat that Sabbath but at the same time it’s going to be this sacred assembly and I I am just sharing my thoughts my opinions on this day because what makes this a sacred assembly we’ve just spent the last seven days in Celebration and here on the eighth day and if you recall the eighth day is symbolic of forever when we’re going to be living with Yeshua and I think it’s just going to be a solemn moment I think we’re just going

to it’s going to it’s going to truly hit us that we are with him and that we are inside and we are together and there’s a sacred assembly and guess who’s going to be there Yeshua and the prophets and the angels and the apostles and the martyrs and those who were faithful before us the people that we’ve only read about in our Bibles are we’re going to see them face to face we’re going to have these incredible conversations we’re going to be asking questions of our Biblical Heroes we’re going to be seeing the face of Yeshua and it’s going to be a sacred assembly now a little bit more on the studying of the Torah in Deuteronomy 31 we read as Moses commanded them saying at the end of every seven years at the appointed time in the year of release and what is he talking about here he’s talking about Jubilee right because at the seventh Year all debts are forgiven um all land is returned all slaves are freed that’s what the Jubilee is and

he’s basically what he’s talking about here is that at the end every seven years at the appointed time in the year of release at the Feast of Tabernacles when all Israel comes to appear before the Lord your God in the place which he chooses you shall read this Torah that word for law in the Hebrew is Torah before all Israel in their hearing gather the people together men women and little ones and the stranger who is within your Gates now earlier we talked about the Sojourner this word stranger is not does not mean someone who is not joined Israel does not mean a gentile this stranger is one who has according to the Hebrew they’re not bloodline Hebrew what they have joined Israel so all these people men women little ones and the stranger who is within your Gates that they may hear and that they may learn to fear the Lord your God and carefully observe all the words of this law and that their children who have not known it may hear and

learn to fear the Lord your God as long as you live in the land which she crossed the Jordan to possess so for every other year every other normal year it was only required that men only from 20 years old and older be present at these pilgrimage Feasts but every seven years everyone wants to come all of them and for what purpose so that they may hear the words of the law and learn to fear the Lord and my question is when we read this does that remind us of anything well of course it does we’ve studied in the past in just weeks past in Isaiah 2 when we see that in those days it shall come to pass that the mountain of the Lord’s house shall be established on the top of the mountain this is the New Jerusalem and shall be exalted above the hills and All Nations will flow to it many people shall come and say come let us go out to the mountain of the Lord to the house of Jacob he will teach us his ways and we shall walk in his paths for out

of Zion shall go forth the law and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem so here again we see this reference after the second coming during the millennium that non -believers people that didn’t make it are going to be coming up to the mountain to do what to learn how to fear the Lord by studying his ways and walking in his paths and when did Zechariah tell us what happened just to the the slide before this one he said it would happen during the Feast of Tabernacles so showing you these scriptures like this so that you in your mind as you’re reading your Bible can start putting things together as I’ve said before I’m not just trying to teach you something I’m trying to teach you how to read your Bible and how to understand when you see certain things how to put them together and how to understand them so zip code is a time of giving okay

Chapter 11: Giving First Fruits

in Exodus chapter 23 three times you shall keep a feast to me in the year you shall keep the Feast of Unleavened Bread you shall eat unleavened bread for seven days we read this the point that I want to make in this section is where it says None Shall appear before me empty-handed he says on that day the Feast of Ingathering what is that that’s the Feast of Tabernacles you are to give the first fruit of your labors from the field right this is a harvest of fruit so they’re supposed to be bringing to the Festival of of Tabernacles the First Fruits of their fruits you follow me Deuteronomy 15 we see it again they shall not appear before the Lord empty-handed every man shall give as he is able so here we see twice two witnesses if you will but on the Festival of Tabernacles it’s a time of giving okay now again see the parallels and remember the topology okay Omen versus fulfillment what is harvested in the fall Feasts fruit right my wife

said fruit because you might have your mics muted fruit is what’s harvested in the fall festivals what are you supposed to bring to the fall festivals the fruits of your labors right remember parallels and typology who not what who will we have with us on that day the fruit of our labors what am I talking about I’m talking about those people that we brought to Christ I’m talking about those people that we taught about what it means to follow him they will be with us on that day not that we’re going to be offering them but you can see the parallel here and then Daniel 12 3 says those who lead me to righteousness shall shine like the stars forever and ever so when we read these things hopefully you can start learning how to piece these things together if I’m not supposed to come to the Feast of Tabernacles empty-handed then when that final Tabernacles happens when your shoe is actually there how am I going to bring the First Fruits of my

labors well it will be those people that you brought to the Lord

Chapter 12: Solomon’s temple dedication

but the data and I I tossed this in here just for fun the dedication of Solomon’s Temple was also during Sukkot when you read in second Chronicles that all the work that Solomon had done for the house of the Lord was finished and Solomon brought in the things which his father David had dedicated the silver the gold the furnishings and he put them in the Treasures of the house of God therefore all the men of Israel assembled with the king at the feast okay so it’s a feast we know there from that passage that it’s a feast which was in the seventh month okay there’s three feasts in the seventh month right there’s trumpets atonement and Tabernacles so how do we know that this dedication of Solomon’s Temple was on Tabernacles well if you go on a little bit further he says it came to pass when the priest came out of the most holy place where all the police who were present had Sanctified themselves without keeping to their divisions and the

Levites were were the singers and all of all those of asaph and Heman and Jetta thune with their sons and their Brethren stood the East End of the of the altar clothed in white linen that’s how we know that this is the Festival of Tabernacles because it was only the Festival of Tabernacles where they were clothed in white linen and then we see there at the end of that passage the house of the Lord was filled with the cloud so the priest could not continue ministering because of the cloud the glory of the Lord filled the house of God we see something very similar in Revelation 21 at the end of time so to speak the city had no need of the Sun or the moon would assignment for the glory of the Lord filled it illuminated it because the lamb was its light and by the way side note small rabbit hole you’ll hear me say the end of time from time to time no pun intended um to convey the end but the reality is time never ends for us and that’s

another lesson Humanity even in the afterlife the clock will still be ticking we never will get outside of time contrary to what a lot of people believe but that’s again another lesson okay so knowing what we know about the Feast of Tabernacles we can understand

Chapter 13: Tabernacles in the New Testament

our New Testament a little bit better in second Peter we we read that um he says Peter says we did not follow cunningly devised fables when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty for he received from God the Father honor and Glory when such a voice came to him from the excellent Glory saying this is my beloved Son and whom I am well pleased and we heard this voice which came from heaven when we were with him on the Holy Mountain okay what is Peter referring to when was Peter and I witness to his majesty when did he hear the voice and I think you guys know that that happened at the that’s right my wife says at the Transfiguration okay now let’s read that event in Mark 9 now after six days Jesus Took Peter James and John and led them up on a high mountain apart from themselves and he was transfigured before them his clothes became shining exceedingly white like snow such

as no launder on Earth can whiten them and Elijah appeared to them with Moses and they were talking with Jesus and Peter answered and said to Jesus Rabbi it’s good for us to be here let us make three Tabernacles one for you one for Moses and one for Elijah my question is why did Peter want to build Tabernacles why was that his response oh the answer is simple when you read the verse just before Mark 9 2. in Mark 9 1 Jesus is talking about the end when he said surely I say to you that there are some standing here who will not taste death until they see the kingdom of God come with power or present with power so Peter knowing his Torah when he heard Jesus say these words he must have thought well we’re it’s it’s here we’re it’s it’s happening so let me make you three Tabernacles again understanding the festivals is going to help you understand your New Testament a little bit more Luke 1. when was Yeshua really born okay every week I tell

you to gird your loins because this is a deep part of the lesson and this is probably the deepest part of any lesson that I’ve ever taught so deep that I myself might get lost in it and I hope not because we’re trying to figure out in the study of Tabernacles when Yeshua was really born we all know but he wasn’t born in December right December 25th but can the Bible does the bible somehow teach us when he was born I believe it does but here’s where you’re going to need to pay really good attention and God be with me to help me present this in a way that you can understand we read in Luke 1 in the days of Herod King of Judea there

Chapter 14: Timing of Yeshua’s birth

was a priest named Zechariah of the division of Abijah he and his wife from the daughters of Aaron and her name was Elizabeth and they were both righteous before God walking blamelessly into all the Commandments and statues of the Lord that had no child because Elizabeth was barren and both were advanced in years you know this story a thing that we have to keep in mind here as we read Luke 1 is where it says that Zechariah was a priest in the division of Abijah okay Abijah so let’s go back to the Old Testament where we learn about these divisions in first Chronicles 24. among the sons of Eleazar were 16 heads of their father’s houses and eight heads of their father’s houses among the sons of ithemar thus they were divided by lot one group as another for there were officials of the sanctuary and officials of the house of God so these divisions these priests were chosen to be officials of the sanctuary in the house of God from the sons

of Eleazar and from the sons of Ithamar now the first lot felt to Jehoiarib the second to Jedaiah and so on and so forth I’m not going to try and mention all those names where we get down to the eighth to who the eighth division was dedicated to Abijah and the ninth to Yeshua and yes there were other people in the Bible named Yeshua not just our Yeshua and it goes on etc etc a total of 24 men or 24 courses or divisions of priests that were to serve throughout the year to manage if you will the sanctuary in the house of God the division of Abijah was the eighth division follow me so far now let’s look at the festivals the annual festivals of God in these given years if you look over to your right you’ll see that the Feast of Tabernacles almost always lands somewhere in late September to early October if you go down from 2013 all the way to 2026 you can see that that’s the case that’s the time frame but that Festival happens throughout the

years now let’s look at a regular old calendar we have to start with the fact that the Hebrew calendar has 51 weeks and not 52. our calendar has 52 the Hebrew calendar has 51. each priest served two weeks a year so 24 priests or 24 divisions times two is 48. well there’s 51 weeks so what’s the deal well remember that leaves three weeks where everyone served because of the three pilgrimage festivals so all these priests served two times a week a year except for on the the pilgrimage free feasts where everyone was supposed to be so follow me along here we go to the first of April that would have been Nisan one or the the first month of their year if you will and that would have been what that would have been the Festival of Passover and unleavened bread now that is a pilgrimage feast and so that meant that Abijah or Zechariah would have been serving for two weeks now if you count after that eight weeks because Abijah was the eighth

division then that puts you right around here at the month of or our month of May when he would have served that’s the eighth division so if you count from uh you know the week of the 7th of April and you go eight weeks that would have been where Abijah would have served there in our month of May and what’s happening during that month it’s the Festival of Pentecost or the Feast of Weeks and they also would have been there for two weeks well then we read in Luke 1 now while he was serving as a priest before God when his division was on duty according to the custom of the priesthood he was chosen by lot to enter the Temple of the Lord and burn incense and the whole multitude of the people were praying outside the at the hour of incense well what’s this whole multitude of people it’s talking about well if we are able to put these things together from our Bible study we can tell he’s referencing Pentecost when all those people were

supposed to be there that’s the whole multitude of the people that were praying while Zechariah was serving then we read and when the time of his service was ended he went to his home after these days his wife Elizabeth conceived and for five months she kept herself hidden okay what did we learn about Elizabeth when we started this slide she was Barrett my wife says thank you she was Barren but after his days of service she conceived so we we’re going to assume that that had to have been in the month of June after those days it’s not specific but for the sake of argument we have to make some guesses here that we’re talking about the month of June so from June the countdown five months right July August September October and that puts us in the in the month of our month of November okay now what happened here well in Luke 1 it says in the sixth month that would have been December the angel of Gabriel was sent from God to a city of

Galilee named Nazareth to a virgin betrothed to a man named Joseph of the House of David and the virgin’s name was Mary and he came to her and said greetings o favored one of the Lord is with you she was greatly troubled saying and tried to discern what sort of greeting this might be and the angel said to her don’t don’t be afraid Mary you found favor with God and behold you will conceive in your womb and bear a son and he shall call his name Yeshua you’ll be great and be called the son of the most high and the Lord God will give to him the Throne of his father David and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever and his kingdom there’ll be no end and then way down on verse 56 of the same chapter it says Mary remained with her who’s the her Elizabeth Maine with her for about three months and returned to her home so this is all happening in the sixth month okay that’s our month of December why did Mary stick around for an additional

three months well because she wanted to be there for Elizabeth right don’t forget we’re at the sixth month and she wanted to stick around for three more months why because babies are nine months they take to be born and she wanted to be there six plus three is nine so that’s why Mary remained with Elizabeth for three more months now as I said that puts us in the month of December when a few things happened namely the fact that the here is where um Mary was where Yeshua was conceived right or she began to spend three more months with Elizabeth now off Yeshua was conceived here then we have to realize that that’s probably if you if you move forward three three more months that this is where John the Baptist was most likely born sometime around Passover okay so this is the new year so to speak and this is where John the Baptist was now sometime born now remember Yeshua was conceived Elizabeth’s six-month Mark right there around December

now if that’s true and that’s what the Bible tells us then let’s count nine months if we count nine months that puts us right back here in September and what happens in September that’s the Festival of Feast of Tabernacles Yeshua was born during the Festival of Tabernacles and when Yeshua was born in the Festival of Tabernacles the Bible says that Mary had to make an offering for him and we read this in Luke 2. at the end of eight days when he was circumcised he was called Yeshua the name given by the angel before he was conceived in the womb and when the time came for their purification according to the law of Moses they brought him up to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord as it is written in the law of the Lord okay remember that and what does this say every male who first opens the womb Shall be Called holy to the Lord she certainly is and to offer a sacrifice according to what is said in the law of the Lord a pair of turtle doves

and two young pigeons huh well let’s go and actually look at that law does the law specify turtle doves and pigeons in Leviticus 12 it says Jehovah spoke to Moses saying speak to the people of Israel saying if a woman conceives and bears a male child then she shall be unclean seven days as at the time of her menstruation she she shall be unclean and on the Eighth Day the Flesh of his foreskin shall be circumcised and she shall continue for 33 days in the blood of her purifying she shall not touch anything holy or come into the sanctuary until the days of her purifying are completed but if she Bears a female child and she’ll she’ll be she shall be unclean two weeks as in her menstruation and she shall continue in the blood of her purifying for 66 days and when the days of her purifying are completed whether for a son or for a daughter she shall bring to the priest at the entrance of the tent of meeting a what a lamb a year old for a

burnt offering and a pigeon for a turtle dove for sin offering and he shall offer it before Yehovah and make atonement for her then she shall be clean from the flow of her blood this is the law for her who Bears a child either male or female and if she cannot afford a lamb then she shall take two turtle doves and two pigeons want forever one for a burnt offering and the other for a sin offering and the priest shall make atonement for her and she shall be clean so what’s happening here Luke recorded what she could afford but in reality she brought the lamb she brought the Lamb of God so Yeshua was born on Sukkot that’s why in John chapter one the Bible says the word was made flesh and dwelt Among Us and we beheld his glory and the glory of his only begotten son Our Father full of grace and truth what do you think that word is in the Greek that word in the Greek is Tabernacle tent the word was made flesh and tabernacled among men he was

born on Tabernacles to Tabernacle with men and again in Revelation we see in chapter 21 now I saw a new Heaven and a new Earth for the first Heaven and the first Earth had passed away also there was no more C than I John saw the holy city news Jerusalem coming down on a pattern from God prepared as a bride adorned for her husband and I heard a loud voice from Heaven saying behold the Tabernacle of God is with men and he will dwell with them and they shall be his people God himself will be with them and be their God and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes there should be no more death or sorrow crying no more pain former things have passed away and he who sat on the throne said behold I make all things new and he said to me right for these words are true and faithful and he said to me it is done that’s a little different than what Yeshua said on the cross

Chapter 15: Conclusion and discussion

Yeshua said it is finished on the cross what was finished being able to attain Redemption for mankind here at the end of time again sorry for using that phrase he is saying it is done what is it everything everything that was written everything that was prophesied everything that was promised every judgment was given all things have been created new and it will finally be done when God Tabernacles with men this is why we celebrate scope we are rehearsing a day that we will Tabernacle with God No More Tears No More Death no pain all things made new and everything is done and we will be with him that is the festival Feast of Tabernacles in a nutshell and I hope I hope that I was able to properly convey that whole section about baija and Zechariah in the birth of Yeshua and help you understand those things thoughts questions or bottles well when you were originally talking about uh the um was it eight weeks between April 7th and May 12th

um the Israel Network holy days calendar yeah I thought that was only six weeks none of this is is perfect science and the reason being it’s not perfect science is because he the Hebrew calendar has 51 weeks and ours has 52. and the second reason being because that day or that Festival can happen within the span of what um 20 days right depending on the year the earliest being from uh September 19th to the latest uh October 17th right so there’s there’s from year to year there’s this span of time that’s possible I’m not trying to say I’m not trying to nail down the exact date of Yeshua’s birth but there has to be some flexibility and when we look at this calendar okay and get through that get through that and then start here at their first month again in this section we’re trying to figure out when Zechariah served he would have been there for Passover and then after Passover because you don’t count Passover itself as a division

because the pilgrimage feast and that would have put you right around May sometime we could count eight weeks okay now after this time the Bible says that she conceived well that would have put us again assumingly that’s the right word somewhere around June now it just says after those days it doesn’t tell us June it doesn’t tell us the following month so we were making an assumption here but after he served sometime in the next month she conceived and then she sequestered herself for five months right which would have put us down to our month November November but then it says in the sixth month here is when Yeshua was conceived and she decided to stay with Elizabeth for three more months that would have been here in November right conceived in sometime in in if we get past John’s stuff we don’t need to worry about John’s stuff but if we assume without assume because we know the Bible says that Yeshua was conceived sometime in the

sixth month that would have been our month of December and then we count nine months one two three four five six seven eight September yes so that would have put Yeshua’s birth in the month of September okay considering everything that we’ve read about him dwelling with man um it’s it’s a safe assumption because the festivals are appointed times uh that this would have been when Yeshua was born okay it’s more than a safe assumption to to believe that he was born on Tabernacles and not just some arbitrary month of September because of what the Bible says about that holiday does that make sense yes okay thank you yeah of course it’s difficult and um and you know this this trying to figure this out really requires the student to do some research I I didn’t figure this out just FYI I wasn’t my uh my my I didn’t discover this I learned this from from somebody else but it made sense to me it it it was a powerful lesson um to realize the

importance of this holiday of Tabernacles what happened on this day across the board from Yeshua’s birth to the dedication of the temple uh to the end times and everything that’s going to happen on on on that point being it’s important for us to observe it it’s important for us to to to honor it any other thoughts Jeff your first time here do you want to say anything and on mute first um no I I think it’s all all really good information to know and uh it’s funny because it’s like I’ve been cramming my head and my heart full of uh all of this over the last few weeks and even prior to that as well but it’s like a bunch of puzzle pieces and you’re understanding each little piece at a time and uh we’re trying to put that puzzle together to paint the overall picture yeah us between God and his people yes and uh a lot of times we can be blind to what’s right there in front of us for such a long time but when we start putting these pieces

together it paints it starts to pain an overall picture and that’s just kind of how I’m going to uh say I’m still learning a lot and uh it’s funny because as you learn this and then you learn this it’s like your brain goes back and forth was it this or is it this well then why do we do this there’s so many questions so many questions but you know when you have to kind of go through a life lifelong uh learning things that maybe aren’t necessarily uh are viewed in a certain through certain eyes in perspective and and due to that can can cause us to be blind toward the obvious um you know uh you’re trying to just think one has to figure that out and I think that’s why there’s no mistake where God just doesn’t give us the answer in pink luminous clouds he wants us to be able to be a Seeker so that we can find and uh and that’s why it says you’re gonna have to seek this with all your heart amen amen that’s that makes sense yes sir foreign

yes I I have a little confusion going on with the calendar system not you system as a lunar calendar who changed it to the Julian calendar yeah so listen there there let me just say let me just answer that question by saying this there is an incredibly amount a credible amount of disunity in the body of Christ over the calendar issue um and it’s nothing that you and I are going to be able to figure out here in the course of of this time together um it’s it’s it’s an ongoing thing where where people are comparing the Hebrew calendar with the uh the Roman Calendar or the Gregorian calendar all these kinds of things um I personally think that God intended it to be that way by the time we got here in time um because nobody know the days nobody knows the day or the hour uh but there yeah there’s a lot of Discord a lot of disunity about which calendar is right and um when is the actual day of trumpets or when is the actual this or the actual

that and you know what I don’t I think I think it it matters and it doesn’t matter and here’s what I mean by that it matters to God if in your heart all you want to do is obey him and all you want to do is learn his ways learn the ancient paths learn the festivals it doesn’t matter to him as much if you miss it by a day because you’re caught up in your American calendar um I don’t think that’s I think God is more about your desire and your heart to seek it out and I think he knows because of the confusion of the calendars some people are going to be observing it a day late or a day earlier or whatever I don’t think that is the biggest deal to him as as people who reject it altogether uh because I think the Bible matter of fact I don’t think I know um in in the Bible and I think it’s the Book of Numbers I’ll have to find the exact verse where God makes a caveat for people who were not able to be in Jerusalem um for that pilgrimage

Festival he says he tells them and I’m paraphrasing if you can’t be there on this day then do it where you’re at on this day so there we see in God’s Own Heart some degree if you will of flexibility and and I think we just have to keep that in mind as we’re studying these things not that we take advantage of it and go oh God doesn’t care no he does care that we have a heart to observe these things and I think that’s what the Bible means by having a circumcised heart something he and only he can see if your heart is circumcised to obey him then it’s not going to matter if you’re off 12 hours or you’re off 24 hours because of your understanding of the current calendar and I’m I’m repeating myself here so um that’s a that’s a big question Neva and it would take a long time for us to weed that out and I don’t think it’s necessary honestly and yes sir with that being said um and we could probably talk about this offline but I’m sure nobody

cares or they may end the end of the same uh circumstances we found a major issue yesterday at the end of the day and I’m expected to come into work uh tomorrow I didn’t realize it was a Sabbath no I’m sorry not tomorrow but Monday I didn’t realize it was a Sabbath now the fast is not a problem but is that a heart issue if my heart’s to celebrate that and go to work you know it’s it’s funny um I had a brother reach out to me just day before yesterday or something like that and he said uh he was asking me hey if I get him a shot a massage on the Sabbath am I breaking the Sabbath and I kind of I kind of giggle at that and I you know I basically told him I said listen bro I appreciate you you know checking and and asking somebody and getting advice but I I don’t want you to be in the habit of asking me these questions because this is something you’re working out with God and in his word and if it violates your conscience to do this or

that um on a Shabbat then then it does and and you have to work that out um if I was to answer your question Glenn as black and white as I possibly could um then I would say this is Monday is Shabbat it absolutely is a Shabbat is it commanded it absolutely is is commanded if you work on that day are you in sin you absolutely are in sin that’s the black and white of the issue now the gray areas happen when surprises happen and uh like you said something comes up and oh my gosh you know if this doesn’t get dealt with all hell’s breaking loose or disaster happening those things also happen but I don’t want to be the person that you rely on for me giving a stamp of approval or not because that’s not my role as a Believer or a teacher um I want you to work that out and be at peace with what you do and if that means you know you’re just spend some time with God in prayer and talking about the stuff then that’s what it means um but I’ll I you

know this brother that asked about the massage what if I said oh bro go ahead massage Sean’s relaxing and then I find out that I told him wrong you know I I not only broke the Sabbath myself but now I told someone to go ahead and ended up now I’m responsible yeah I don’t think that’s the way it should be so um I don’t know if I answered your question but um I think I think as as believers if if we’re truly serious about this then we have to plan ahead you know um and and just in all honesty Glenn in the first few years that I was figuring this stuff out same thing happened to me where I these holidays snuck up on me because they’re just not in my radar early on right because they’re new you know Christmas Halloween Thanksgiving Easter all those things are on my radar because I’ve been doing them for 45 50 years or whatever it is but these were new and I got caught a few times probably two years in a row where oh my gosh this weekend or

this Monday is a is a Shabbat or whatever and I look at my calendar and I’ve already got you know six customers scheduled on that day and I’m only a few days away from that day that happened to me probably a couple of times in the first two years where I just wasn’t I I wasn’t prepared and what did I do well I talked to God and I said God I’m sorry I I you know um I could have called all six of those customers and said oh by the way we’re not showing up on Monday that would have made me look really bad it would have it would have it would have just destroyed a lot of stuff um I just apologize to God so I’m going to do better and I’m sorry and and I did and I got better every year I started getting better and better so just understand the God whom you serve he’s done up there with an ax waiting to chop you off because you made a mistake you know that’s that’s not the God that we serve but just just in the future just try to be better at

your planning because am I saying that right anybody else want to say anything well he is we do serve a God of God of Mercy mm-hmm you know I mean because our whole very nature is we seem to continue to be ignorant and blow it you know um I can certainly say I’ve blown it since so many ways but once we come to recognize that you know I mean then we beat ourselves up feel guilty and all of that and but ultimately you know God is a God of grace and mercy and that’s the whole point I Think Jesus you know he uh he lived the perfect life for us because his people couldn’t yep it’s impossible he is matter of fact I was just reading yesterday that he has bound everybody over to disobedience so that his mercy and Grace might shine amen or anybody else thoughts opinions if not well guess what we still finished kind of on time didn’t we even though I tried to make this thing shorter than normal so sorry for for that um I’ll I’ll be editing this

video and getting it up um after I I get rid of all the weird comments and and mistakes and all that kind of stuff all the things that Glenn says uh I’ll go ahead and cut that stuff out where can we find the recording Uncle Eddie just because I got here a little late it is always on my finding the ancient path YouTube channel YouTube okay great thank you yes and then I always post a link to finding the ancient bath Facebook Channel so one of the two great well guys have a fantastic Shabbat today YouTube fantastic uh Feast of Atonement on Monday I’ll be fasting I’ll be praying for all of you who am I if you’re if you’re going to be fasting and then we’ll um we’re done with the fall festivals and so not quite sure where we’re going to go from here I have some ideas if you have ideas and like to know some things or study some things shoot me a text or or whatever and uh have a good week alrighty bye guys

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • Yehovah commands seven days of Sukkot beginning on the fifteenth day of the seventh month, with an eighth-day sacred assembly (Leviticus 23:33-36).
  • Temporary booths recall the wilderness journey and Yehovah’s provision, not merely a cultural camping tradition (Leviticus 23:42-43).
  • Rejoicing and harvest thanksgiving are central to the festival; the gathered people are to share in its blessing (Deuteronomy 16:13-15).
  • The speaker applies the language of belonging to Israel to believers grafted into covenant promises; compare Romans 11 and Galatians 6 carefully.
  • Practical present-day observance can include a simple sukkah, outdoor meals, family discussion, Scripture reading, and fellowship.
  • The tabernacle cloud provides a historical image of God’s presence, while Revelation 21 describes God dwelling with humanity.
  • Zechariah 14 pictures surviving nations coming to Jerusalem for Tabernacles; details of future chronology require careful interpretation.
  • The agricultural harvest is connected typologically to Yeshua’s description of the end of the age and Revelation’s imagery.
  • In Deuteronomy 31, the public reading of the Torah takes place at Sukkot in the seventh-year release cycle; this is not identical to Jubilee.
  • The speaker proposes that Yeshua’s birth coincided with Sukkot; the calculation is inferential rather than a stated date in Scripture.
  • The closing discussion urges advance preparation for festival Sabbaths, personal conscience, repentance, and mercy when circumstances are difficult.

Sukkot – The Feast of Tabernacles

This Teaching examines Sukkot (the Feast of Tabernacles) as one of Yehovah’s appointed times. Beginning with Leviticus 23, Ed discusses seven days of rejoicing, temporary booths, the harvest, holy convocations, and the sacred eighth-day assembly. The central study then asks why Leviticus specifically names native-born Israelites as booth dwellers while Deuteronomy includes the stranger in the celebration. He explores the original Exodus, the mixed multitude, covenant identity, a proposed future ‘second Exodus,’ judgment and refining, and the prophetic depiction of nations observing Sukkot in Zechariah 14. Finally, he connects the harvest with end-of-age imagery and Yehovah dwelling with His redeemed people. Audience discussion addresses what believers can observe while away from the land.

Sukkot: It’s Ultimate Fullfillment

This Teaching approaches Sukkot as both a memorial of Israel’s wilderness experience and a forward-looking picture of gathering, dependence on Yahovah, the reign of Yeshua, and the ultimate dwelling of Yah with His people. It begins with the biblical commands for the Feast of Tabernacles and emphasizes harvest, ingathering, rejoicing, and temporary dwellings. The Teaching then connects those themes to a proposed future wilderness experience or Greater Exodus, while repeatedly distinguishing the speaker’s interpretation from what Scripture states explicitly. The discussion closes with practical and theological questions from the fellowship about observing Sukkot, Jerusalem, temporary dwellings, the temple, sacrifices, the abomination of desolation, and tradition.
