The Full Armor of Yah – Part 1
ABOUT THIS TEACHING
This Teaching opens a two-part study of Ephesians 6 by asking two foundational questions: where did Paul get the imagery of the full armor of God, and why do believers need armor at all? Rather than treating the armor as a Roman military illustration invented by Paul, the Teaching traces the imagery back to Isaiah, where YHWH Himself is described with a breastplate of righteousness, a helmet of salvation, and belts of righteousness and faithfulness. The central claim is that the armor belongs to YHWH before it belongs to the believer. Putting it on therefore means taking on His provision, character, authority, truth, righteousness, salvation, Word, and cause in the spiritual conflict.
Part 1 then concentrates on Ephesians 6:10-13 and the nature of the opposition. The Teaching treats Paul’s four expressions – principalities, powers, rulers of the darkness, and spiritual hosts of wickedness – as meaningful descriptions of an organized kingdom of darkness rather than four interchangeable phrases. Drawing from Deuteronomy 32, Daniel 10 and 12, Psalm 82, Job, Jude, 2 Peter, Colossians, and the ministry of Yeshua, it presents a biblical worldview in which unseen spiritual authorities influence nations and human rebellion. The conflict is described as personal and close, not distant: believers ‘wrestle’ against these forces while living in the visible world.
The Teaching also cautions against becoming obsessed with spiritual beings or speculative details Scripture does not reveal. Awareness is necessary, but the focus must remain on YHWH and His Word. The purpose of understanding the enemy is to recognize why the armor is necessary and to stand faithfully in the conflict. Part 1 intentionally stops before explaining each individual piece of armor; that deeper examination is reserved for Part 2.
KEY SCRIPTURES
- Ephesians 6:10-13 – Believers are commanded to be strong in the Lord, put on the whole armor of God, and stand against principalities, powers, rulers of darkness, and spiritual hosts of wickedness.
- Isaiah 59:16-17 – YHWH puts on righteousness as a breastplate and a helmet of salvation, establishing the Old Testament source for Paul’s armor imagery.
- Isaiah 11:5 – Righteousness and faithfulness are pictured as belts, further grounding the armor imagery in the prophets.
- Colossians 1:16 – Thrones, dominions, principalities, and powers are presented as created realities, visible and invisible.
- Jude 6; 2 Peter 2:4 – Rebellious angels who left their proper domain are kept for judgment; the Teaching connects these with the Genesis 6 watchers.
- Genesis 6:1-4 – Provides the background for the Teaching’s discussion of the watchers and Nephilim.
- Deuteronomy 32:8 – The nations are connected with the “sons of God,” supporting the Teaching’s discussion of heavenly beings associated with nations.
- Daniel 10:13, 20-21; 12:1 – Michael and the princes of Persia and Greece illustrate spiritual powers connected with earthly nations.
- Matthew 12:25-26 – Yeshua speaks of Satan as having a kingdom, supporting the Teaching’s view that the kingdom of darkness is organized.
- Psalm 82:1-7 – YHWH judges among the Elohim; the Teaching uses this passage in its discussion of the divine council and rebellious spiritual beings.
- Job 1:6-12 – The sons of God and Satan appear before YHWH, illustrating the unseen spiritual realm and YHWH’s ultimate authority.
- Isaiah 59:9-10; Isaiah 60:2; Proverbs 4:19 – Darkness is associated with blindness, wickedness, deception, and spiritual opposition.
TEACHING TRANSCRIPT
Amen. Thank you, brother. I appreciate that. Shabbat shalom to everyone.
Here we are. We’re talking about the full armor of Yah. And why am I doing this lesson? Well, if you’re like me,
you are and you come from a, you know, typical Christian background, you’ve probably heard your fair share of
lessons on this topic. Uh, I certainly have over the years. But never have I ever really looked at it from the
perspective of the Old Testament because you always have to ask where is Paul getting this stuff right when he’s
teaching or he’s seemingly making some kind of analogy or drawing some conclusion that appears to be coming just from his head and his own
creativity or his own imagination. Uh that’s never the case. What is the case is that Paul is always pulling from the
Old Testament. And so I don’t think many people have really looked at this um from that perspective. Maybe they have, maybe they haven’t. Maybe this is old news for some of you, but that’s okay.
I’m glad that you’re here for the fellowship. Let’s jump right into this and see what we can see. The full armor of Yah. Let me see if I can
give me a second here. For those of you who are alive, you get to see all the back stories. Sometimes there’s things that appear on my screen that shouldn’t,
and I got to fix that. Okay, here we are. Most believers read the armor of Yahw as if Paul invented something in Ephesians 6. But the armor was never
Roman at its core. Long before Paul ever wrote about helmets, shields, and swords, the prophets describe Yahovah
himself wearing this armor as he moved in righteousness, truth, salvation, and
judgment. The armor belongs to Yahw before it belongs to us.
Paul is not borrowing from Rome as much as he is revealing that the followers of Messiah have been invited into the very
warfare character and mission of Yhovah himself.
It’s not decorative language or for difficult times or creative language to encourage you. No, it’s covenant battle
imagery rooted deeply in the Old Testament as we’re going to see, revealing that the believer was never
called to survive the darkness unarmed, but to stand clothed in the very attributes
of Yah. And then I wanted to share this quote. I came across this quote when I
was 22, 23 years old maybe somewhere somehow. I’m not even sure where it’s from. But this stuck in my heart and in
my brain for many years. If God pulled back the curtain, the curtain of our reality, the veil for five minutes and
let us see the spiritual warfare around us. Most of us could not bear it because of the reality of what’s happening
behind the veil. Uh this reality that we are in obviously is limited as when Yeshua comes back, he
rolls back the skies. He’s going to pierce that veil and uh all things spiritual will become
clear to us on that day. But until then, we’re blinded to it. There is this element of reality that we are not able
to see that goes on around us all the time. And if we could just for a moment
peak into the actual battle of what’s going on, our our hearts could not bear it. And and that that quote for some
reason has struck with me for all these years because I’m I’m constantly thinking about how our lives, our
individual lives are literally played out as if on a stage and there are
forces uh in in among us that are fighting for us and against us all the time.
Where does Paul get this language about the full armor? Did he make it up? No, he didn’t. As we learned many months ago
in a different study, Paul taught nothing but Torah and the Old Testament.
If you doubt that or you want to challenge that, that’s fine. go back and watch the the two-part series that we
did on Paul where we spent a great deal of time really proving that everything that Paul teaches comes straight from the Torah, straight from the Old Testament.
Isaiah 59, where does Paul get this from? For he, speaking of him, the father Yahw put on righteousness as a
breastplate and a helmet of salvation on his head.
He put on the garments of vengeance for clothing and was clad with zeal as a
cloak again in chapter 11. Righteousness shall be the belt of his loins and faithfulness
the belt of his waist. So yeah, Paul didn’t just make this up. He is always drawing from always pulling from what he
already knows from the text. Hence him constantly telling us in all of his
letters, “It is written.” Throughout the ancient world, putting on another warrior’s armor symbolized more than
just physical protection. If you recall, David tried to put on Saul’s armor or
they tried to put it on him. He eventually got rid of it and understood that what he needed was not Saul’s protection. What he needed was father.
So it represents authority. When you put on someone else’s armor, it represents their authority, their identity, their
inheritance, their victory, or the taking on of another person’s role. This
makes Paul’s language in in Ephesians 6 even more important for us. He doesn’t tell believers to forge their own armor, does he?
When you read the text, he doesn’t say make your own armor. He tells them to put on Yahw’s armor.
In biblical terms, it’s not just borrowing equipment. It’s the taking on of Yahw’s own provision, character, and cause in the spiritual conflict.
viewed through that lens. Ephesians 6 is about believers being clothed in the
very armor worn by Yhovah in Isaiah 59 in participation
in Yahw’s battle against evil under his authority and strength.
And I think a lot of us don’t ever bother to stop and consider that when we see Paul’s words to put on the armor that it’s not just defensive.
We’re actually being called to participate in this battle wearing his armor. So Paul’s point is profound. It’s deep.
The armor is not Roman armor adapted for a sermon.
The armor is the armor of Yhovah himself.
Paul is teaching believers to put on his character, his truth, his righteousness, his salvation, his word. Now, we’re
going to be going through what these things are because again, I think too many people stop at truly seeking out
what his truth is, what his character is, what his righteousness is according
to the scriptures. And we [clears throat] have to have that understanding if we are going to be able to put on
that armor so they can stand in the same spiritual battle that has always existed between the kingdom of God and the
powers of darkness. Okay, let’s keep going. Ephesians 6. Why do we need armor at all? Have you ever thought about that? Have you ever asked that question?
Okay, I’m being told I have to put on this armor. Why do I need armor at all?
Well, this topic, this particular lesson that we I decided to do today is there’s a lot of depth to it. If I’m honest, I
was a little stressed out all week doing my daily videos, which many people are been encouraged by, which I’m very happy.
And then, you know, shifting gears once a day to put my attention back on this.
And in my research, the information just kept piling up. And I thought, I’m never going to do that. never going to be able to to finish this.
And I got seven slides in which is normally where I stop and I still had seven slides to go of worth of
information. So today’s part one and I decided that in this part one we had to look at the first part of Paul’s words
so that we can understand why we need this armor. Ephesians 6.
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and the power of his might, but on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the ws of the
devil. There’s a reason right there. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers and rulers of the darkness of
this age, spiritual hosts of wickedness, and the help in the heavenly places.
Therefore, take up the whole armor of God that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all to
stand. So I thought it was pertinent, it’s important for us to break down these words
because I don’t think Paul is choosing four different ways of saying the same thing. This is not
Hebraic uh poetry as he’s done in other places as have the prophets or Yeshua himself.
No, these are four separate things that we have to look at so we can understand them. So principalities
uh that the Greek word is arcus meaning the first rulers.
Put on your thinking caps here. The first rulers, the chief powers, origins
and ruling authorities. H this refers to high ranking spiritual authorities within the kingdom of darkness.
Paul uses the same language in Colossians 1. For by him all things were created that are in heaven and that are
on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. What do we learn from that verse?
All of these principalities, these powers that Paul mentions in Ephesians 6 were originally created by Yah. Some, as
we know, remained faithful, others rebelled. And we know who rebelled, right? Satan.
A third of the angels rebelled. And then there was another fall of the watcher class angels in Genesis 6, right? We
know this if you watched my lesson on the Nephilim. But
Jude 6 says this, “And the angels who did not keep their proper domain left their own abode. He has reserved an
everlasting chains under darkness for the judgment of the great day.” Who is he talking about here? Well, let’s think about this for a moment. Remember I told
you to put your thinking caps on. When Satan fell and he took a third of the angels with him, was their departure optional, David? No.
No. No. The scriptures tell us that they were cast down to earth, right? Those angels that rebelled with Hassatan, they didn’t leave on their own.
They were cast out. There was no option for them.
Here in Jude 6, he says, “The angels who did not keep their proper domain.” In other words, it makes it sound like it was an option.
They left their own abode. They decided to leave their own abode. This can only be a reference to the watchers in
Genesis 6 who took on the daughters of men as brides and had children by them
creating the Nephilim. That was such a great sin that Jude tells us along with second Peter 2 that these particular
angels have been kept in everlasting chains in darkness waiting for the great day of judgment. So they’re there now.
So if that’s the case, it takes them out of the possibility of who these principalities are, right? The
principalities cannot be the fallen watchers from Genesis 6 and cannot be Satan himself because he’s the big dog in charge. So who are the principalities?
Who does that leave? When you think about everything we just talked about, David, of all these fallen beings, what does it leave? enlighten us.
It’s the fallen angels themselves, right? It can’t be Satan. Can’t be the fallen watchers because they’re in chains of darkness. But there is a third
of the fallen angels still running around, right?
Who are these people? These principalities, these uh chief powers, these first rulers, these origins, these
ruling authorities is what I believe Paul is talking about when he mentions the word
principalities. Deuteronomy 32, when the Most High divided their inheritance to the nations, when he separated the sons of Adam, he set the boundaries of the
people according to the number of the sons of God.
Now that phrase is banana Elohim in the Old Testament. It is always a
reference to angels. So he set the boundaries of the people according to the number of the sons of God. What is
that telling us? That’s telling us that these angels, these sons of God, have a role in the
nations, have a role in the separation of these nations. The sons of God language points us to heavenly beings
who are connected to the nations as Michael is over Israel. Daniel 12. At that time, Michael shall stand up, the great prince, who does what?
Who stands watch over the sons of your people? Who are the sons of your people?
That’s Israel. So, Michael is a principality amongst angels. And his
role in part is to watch over the people of Israel.
If that’s the case, then we can look at Deuteronomy 32 and go, “Okay, these sons of God, it’s not just Michael
who stands watch over over nations. It’s other angels, other godly principalities
that are standing watch over these nations. Hope you’re following along.
So, it’s not unreasonable to believe that Satan also has his quote unquote generals who war against those nations.
Daniel 10, we see this. But the prince a palad I put that those are my words.
The prince of the kingdom of Persia withtood me 21 days. And behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me. Who is this prince?
I believe this prince that’s t talked about here in Daniel is Michael’s counterpart or a counterpart, an evil
counterpart who is the evil angel, the fallen angel who basically watches over Persia like
Michael watches over Israel but on the other side of the team right on on the opposing team. Again, Daniel 10. Then he
said, “Do you know why I’ve come to you and I now must return to fight with the prince of Persia? And when I have gone forth, indeed the prince of Greece will
come.” Okay, so here Daniel tells us that not not only does uh Persia have an evil
prince, i.e. principality who is in charge of their downfall or
them pursuing evil or you know plug anything you want in there but also Greece does.
So is it a reach for us just looking at these verses to believe that the United States has
its own principality whose duty it is is to do what evil does? I don’t think so. And I think this
what Paul is trying to help us understand. He understands this on a deep level obviously.
So these are the first these principalities. These are the chief.
These are the original. That’s to me a reference to angels who had to have been created on either the first or the second day of creation.
Even though the scriptures don’t come right out and tell us like it tells us that the light was created or the trees were created, they had to have been. How
do I know that? Well, I’m sidetracking a little bit here, but if you’ve been following me, you know this. Ezekiel,
speaking of Satan, says, “On the day you were created.” Well, a day is a measure of time. Time began in Genesis 1:1. in the beginning.
There was no time before that and then the days were created 1-7.
So when it says that Satan on the day you were created that that tells us he had to have been created in that same
period. So these are the first these principalities the chief the original authorities that
we wrestle against. Paul is not inter uh inventing a new theology here. He’s drawing from an Old Testament worldview that understood the nations, the
kingdoms, the rulers, the idols, and rebellions of earth as being connected to real spiritual powers operating behind them. And he says we do not
wrestle against flesh and blood. When you think of that word wrestling, that should make you think of something else.
The word wrestle implies close hand-to-hand combat.
This is a personal conflict and not some distant warfare. You should think about
Jacob because he also wrestled like that in close combat. So, we have to stop for
a moment. When we see words that jump out at us in the New Testament, like this word here, wrestle against,
hopefully our minds are being drawn back to what Paul could mean by that by examining Jacob’s own wrestling match with the father. It’s that close.
And it’s important that we as believers understand that the wrestling that’s going on is not something distant.
It’s personal. These beings know you by name.
Especially if you are following the way and you hold the commandments of God and the testimony of Yeshua.
He knows your name.
They know your name. So the wrestling is very personal. And I just wanted to throw this challenge out here right off
the bat. If you never feel the tension of the battle, the resistance of temptation, the pressure of conviction,
or the war between flesh and spirit, it may be because you are not standing against the kingdom of darkness at all.
Dead men don’t wrestle. Soldiers behind enemy lines do.
person only feels this battle when the enemy believes he’s a threat. I’m sure
many of you can share harrowing stories of what it was like coming to grips with the truth of scripture and how it felt
that you were being wared against. I certainly did.
Our friends turn on us. Our family turns on us. We’re shunned. We’re called heretics. We’re called hypocrites,
called all kinds of things under the sun.
Beyond that, some of us go through other things, other stronger things where, man, it just feels like someone’s trying to take me out. That’s what it feels to
wrestle against a principality. And we have, if you’re not, this isn’t going on in your life. I know it sounds harsh,
but the enemy certainly isn’t concerned with you. David, before I go on, any any thoughts from you? I love how you make it personal, right? Or Paul makes it
personal here, right? It is it is uh like you said, it’s not this big overarching
battle that’s happening and you’re just kind of uh you know, witnessing it or looking at it from afar, but we are in the battle itself.
Yeah. Yeah. And we’re numb to that, aren’t we?
especially as Americans. The battles that the American army goes u through is somewhere else. Yeah.
It’s Iraq, it’s Afghanistan, it’s Vietnam, it’s over there, right?
And we we watch it from a distance. And I think that lulls us to sleep. And I think that’s what the enemy wants. The
enemy wants us to be lulled asleep so that when things happen to us, it’s just our bad luck or it’s God disciplining us. And maybe
it is sometimes but other times it’s not. Other times you are being opposed.
Powers is next. How is powers different from principalities?
Well the Greek here is exusius I think not entirely sure the
meaning authorities. These are delegated powers and jurisdictions. Okay. What does that make you think of? Well, we
just looked at the principality and the principality seems to be the the guy directly under the dragon. And this
guy’s role is to kind of oversee these nations, but then under him, he has these delegated powers who cover jurisdictions.
Sound familiar?
Even in our own government, we have the president, then we have governors, and then under the governors, we have mayors. It’s very similar that we’re
we’re seeing this kind of structure in this evil empire that Paul’s trying to describe to us. These are ruling
delegated powers operating with the kingdom of darkness. The term implies organized structure. The kingdom of
darkness is not chaos. It creates chaos, but it itself is not chaotic.
It has hierarchy. Yeshua himself acknowledged this kingdom structure when he says in Matthew 12, “If Satan casts out Satan, he’s divided against himself.
How then will his kingdom stand?” His kingdom, his organized crime syndicate.
So even Yeshua understands this isn’t just a bunch of wild and woolly demons floating around causing trouble wherever
they can like a bunch of hoodlams in Oldtown New York City on a dark night.
No, it’s an organized structure like a crime syndicate
that is opposing us in our lives. So in his letters to uh or his letter to Ephesus, Paul sees and understands the
counterfeit kingdom that opposes the kingdom of God, a hierarchy that we can already see in these two definitions
that we’ve looked at, principalities and powers who are lined up in a coordinated effort to remove us from the field.
And that’s what happens in a war. If you are a general in a war, your goal is to remove the opposition from the field.
You want to dominate the field.
You want to make sure that you’re in control, that there’s no surprises. So, you remove elements from the field.
That’s how warfare is done. And we would be remiss in our faith if we didn’t think that way about our opposition.
Thus far, this coordinated chaos almost matches the heavenly hierarchy exactly.
Where Yahw has generals, i.e.
archangels, Satan has principalities. Where Yahw has lower angels overseeing the nations, Satan has powers.
So, it’s very organized. And the question is, how aware of it are you really in your spiritual walk? By Paul’s
language, he thinks it’s something that we we really have to be aware of on a on an ongoing basis, not something that we
just get reminded of in a sermon or in a lesson like this. Otherwise, we won’t be able to stand.
What else is there? Well, there’s rulers of darkness. How is that different?
These are world rulers. These are cosmic rulers. These are lords of darkness.
And this is one of the strongest expressions Paul uses in my opinion amongst this list, darkness.
He uses this word darkness.
Just like the word wrestle, the word darkness should conjure up certain things in your mind if you are a student of scripture.
Throughout scripture, darkness always represents deception.
ignorance, sin, and what is sin, David?
Lawlessness, rebellion, death, and false worship. And this is what we
see all around us all the time, every day. False religion, idolatry, deception, persecution,
lawlessness, and a blindness to the truth. Oh my goodness. I’m not sure how many of you are paying attention to the comments on
my videos, but I’m having conversations with all kinds of people. And just as a rule of thumb, I have a naysayer come on
or somebody who wants to oppose me. If they do it with respect, I will lovingly engage them. But most of them don’t.
Most of them are completely blind to some of the things I’m sharing and all they want to do is argue their standing Christian talking points or in this
case, as of yesterday, Jewish talking points. I had a a Jewish guy on on online arguing with me about the
validity of the oral Torah [laughter] and I and I’ll engage these people for a while just to see if I can make a
difference. But once I I know I can’t, I move on. But it’s just shocking to me.
Really not. I shouldn’t say that. It’s not shocking to me. It’s it’s alarming sometimes, but it doesn’t shock me how how this blindness to truth, this
ignorance as a result of deception permeates our culture, permeates our world, where people simply will not see
the truth when it’s right in front of their eyes, right in the text. darkness, principalities,
powers who are working against the people of the earth to try to take as many as they
can off the field. And many men of God have foreseen this darkness, this reality that we are in today. Isaiah 59
and if you know Isaiah 59 60-61, these are end times passages. We look for light but there’s darkness. We grope for
the wall like the blind. For behold, darkness shall cover the earth and deep darkness the people.
Why? Principalities, powers, rulers of the darkness. Psalm 82, they do not know, nor do they understand.
They walk about in darkness. And that’s the scariest verse to me because this was me for a long time. And this is
obviously so many other people are in the world. I was in opposition to the father and I didn’t even know it nor did
I understand it. I I truly was walking around in darkness. The way of the wicked is like darkness. They don’t know what makes them stumble.
Darkness. We have to be aware.
And then lastly, spiritual hosts of wickedness.
spiritual forces of evil, wicked spiritual beings.
I I don’t know about you, when I think about this, it it appears to be in Paul’s structure here, the lowest rank,
the lowest level of these evil entities. And I imagine that they’re probably just demonic spirits.
by demonic spirits. You know, my position on that, you know, I believe it’s the departed spirits of of the
Nephilim of the Old Testament and not fallen angels that walk the earth, these
spiritual hosts of wickedness. And the words heavenly places here, when Paul says heavenly places in that verse,
doesn’t mean where he dwells, doesn’t mean that heavenly places means that they’re up there with him, too. It’s a
reference to this unseen spiritual realm where an invisible conflict is constantly taking place that ultimately affects our visible world.
Things that are happening outside of our ability to see, hear, taste, touch, feel that still have an impact on our world.
What’s that like? David, can you give me an analogy of something like that in in the real world? I’ll I’ll give one to
you and you you can jump on this if you want. When I think about a power that is invisible, can’t see it, can’t
touch it, can’t taste it, can’t smell it, but it still has an impact in this world. I don’t know. The first thing
that pops into my mind is uh radiation like from a nuclear fallout.
You know, you you walk into a place that’s had nuclear bombs exploded and if you don’t have a Geiger counter, you’re not even you don’t even know it’s there.
Sure. I think that there’s I think you know maybe another example is that there are some things that you
might get glimpses of but you don’t understand the full extent of the influence and an example I can give you
is you know our exposure to media and messagings and things of that nature we actually see them right but we don’t
understand behind the scenes the significant impact that it’s making on our our psyche and our entire lives
right so even if you see some of these things you still don’t understand uh the entire impact that it has.
Yeah. The entire Old Testament presents the nations as spiritually influenced over and over and over and over again.
Again, things that we can’t see, touch, touch, taste, or feel.
And this is what both Paul, Yeshua, and the rest of the New Testament authors understood at a very deep level. How?
Why? Because they were witnesses of this darkness in Yeshua’s travels.
imagine the 12 who lived very normal lives until Yeshua came along, called them into following him.
I don’t know if they saw demon possession before then. That’s be speculation at best to think that they did.
But they certainly saw it in Yeshua’s presence.
They certainly saw the things that they wouldn’t otherwise have seen because of
Yeshua’s presence. The demons that are forcing themselves into a bunch of pigs and then over the cliff to the ocean and
the demonic men and women and the people that he healed and they they had front row seat if you will to the reality of what Paul’s talking about here.
And so, yes, they understood this spiritual battle that we’re in.
Psalms 82 says something very interesting. If you ever want to do a really deep dive study, you should look into Psalm 82.
Um, Dr. Michael Heiser has an amazing teaching on this.
Yah stands in the congregation of the mighty. He judges among the gods.
That word in Psalm 82 is Elohim.
What could it be a reference to? Well, he’s standing in the congregation of the mighty. Where else have we seen the use of the word mighty in reference to
beings? Well, it was the Nephilim. In this case, I believe he’s talking about spiritual beings, not just angelic beings.
He stands in the congregation of the mighty. He stands in the congregation of these created principalities.
And they are like gods. Certainly, they are. They’re not God, of course, but a single a single angel has the
power to destroy a whole nation. So yeah, they’re kind of like gods.
He stands in the congregation of these things and not just the good ones. He stands amongst both good and evil. How
do we know? Well, the Bible tells us there was a day when the sons of God, angels, came to present themselves before the Lord. Satan was among them.
So, he stands amongst these things. He’s he’s there. Psalm 82 again, I said you are gods and all of you are children of
the most high. All of them. but you shall die like men because of their evil.
So in this congregation that the father stands among as Job one tells us,
they’re not just the good guys. I think Job tells us that if the bad guys want to do anything of significance in our lives, he’s got to get permission first.
And so he’s standing amongst them all and then turns to the ones who create evil and said, “You are God’s. I created all of you. But you guys over here.
You’re going to die like men.
Heavenly places.” Paul’s point is not to make believers obsessed with these powers and forces.
Let’s stop right there and just address that first part of the statement. I I believe that too many are.
I I believe that there’s an element of believer out there who really is obsessed with
these things to their detriment. And for the most part, I think obsession with anything besides him and the word is
potentially problem. People do people have been obsessed with these things to their detriment.
You have to be aware of them. You have to know what’s going on.
But trying to understand things that quite honestly the scriptures just don’t tell us. I think that’s also a ploy of
the evil one to get your mind off of what’s important. So Paul’s point is not to make believers obsessed with these powers and forces, but to reveal that
our struggle is deeper than politics. It’s deeper than the governments that we serve.
It’s deeper than human conflict.
We can look at the battle that is constantly going on around us about Democrats and Republicans, this
president or that president, this policy or that policy, and all have all kinds of opinions about it. get all worked up
about it because you’re a Republican or you’re a Democrat or you’re whatever you are
and not realize that it’s part of the system that the principalities have created.
It’s deeper than that. Behind humanity’s rebellion against Yahw stands a real spiritual kingdom enforcing and
encouraging it. And that is why the armor of God is necessary.
Now, next week we are going to break down this armor of Yah
and we’re going to understand it in a much deeper, more profound way than perhaps you ever have.
Some of you who are new to this group, this is your first time, maybe or you’re
still plugged into, you know, the Christian system. You’re not going to be happy.
[laughter]
Let me just let me just get throw that out right now. You’re just not going to be happy with some of the things I have to say. That’s okay. As always, I’m
always doing my best to show you what the scripture actually says in these regards. And having said that, I am
always open to your uh insights, your input. So, as always, I’m always open to
your opinions, your thoughts, your arguments, your rebutes if you think I’m wrong.
I want to hear some of your thoughts as to some of the things that we looked at this morning. Uh Samuel, welcome back.
Samuel, we haven’t seen you, brother, in a couple of weeks. We missed you. I’m always present in spirit if not physically. Shabbat shalom everyone.
Shabbat shalom. Shalom.
Brother Ed, I I I I thank you for sharing this message. I’m grateful to the most high for putting this
invaluable word in your heart and that you were able to ring it forth with with
power and the conviction of the set aart spirit because the remnant needs to hear it. because if they don’t understand
what they’re in the middle of right now, um they’re behind.
So, this is very timely. Um this is um from the epistle of the Apostle James.
It says, “You adulterers, don’t you know that loving the world is hating Elohim? Whoever chooses the world
to be the world’s friend makes himself Elohim’s or Elohim enemy or becomes an enemy of Elohim.
And I was thinking about what you shared how you have certain individuals from from various walks who engage you and
try to persuade you that what you understand in terms of the
spiritual warfare that is happening now is something other than what it is.
And sometimes what it is are individuals wish to make compromises to be at
comfort with the bondage with the captivity. They don’t want to see it.
They know it’s there, but they wish to compromise with it. And what they don’t understand is that you do not compromise with it. You are compromised by it.
And that’s what you’re having happen.
Unfortunately, especially those who think that they walk in alignment with Yahovah, but they do not. It’s
interesting that, you know, I’m looking in the chat and um one of the the the brothers within the chat has shared something interesting about their
experience within the District of Columbia with respect to all of the idolatry that they see. And it’s no different here in Chicago and across the
United States. You know, when when the when the immigrants were first coming
here um by ship, whether voluntarily or involuntarily during the 19th and the
early 20th century, they were greeted by what was called the Statue of Liberty.
Liberty, which is an idol, which is pure wickedness. And all across
this nation, what you see is nothing but idols.
Idols. In the city of Chicago, um we still have a statue from the 1893
um world expo or world fair that sits in what’s now um Jackson Park and it
appears to be a statue of Manurva or Diana. you know, choose the name for for for that particular uh goddess, a
representation of of um the the queen of of Shamayim or the queen of heaven as
she was called by by the pagans and called now by those who involve themselves in various aspects of the occult. So you see it even with the
entertainment, you know, within in what we call the African-American community, one of the most storied in history
places is called the Apollo Theater. And none of this is by mistake. You know, you know, we used to think that, you
know, we call this a a Christian nation and we think that the the God that we refer to in our pledge of allegiance and
when we stand and place our hands on our hearts is Yahovah, but it is not.
It is not and it hasn’t been. So, we have been sadly mistaken and now it’s becoming
more and more apparent. So, Brother Ed, I thank you again for sharing this message. Um, shalom, shalom to you and
may the father continue to grant you strength and power to continue to speak truth and to spread his word and to edify the remnant.
Amen, brother Samuel. Always appreciate your thoughts and input. And honestly, you you said something that um I hadn’t considered in this lesson and I wish I had.
uh this whole idea of being compromised, you know, by the enemy, you know, we we see it all the time in in uh in television where you have two sides
waring and then somehow someway you have a spy that gets compromised by the other side and he starts working against you.
That’s that’s also a real very real spiritual reality that Samuel just reminded me of that I wish I’d put in my lesson. But thank you Samuel. I
appreciate you. Jeff and Bri, you’re up next.
Shabbat shalom everyone. This is Thank you for this teaching, brother Ed. This is really a uh when you started talking about obsession, it’s it’s funny. I had
a close friend that I tried to show Torah to and she just is obsessed with the rabbit holes, obsessed with
darkness, obsessed with just constantly, you know, putting that out. And I’m like, anyway, that’s that’s a very true point is we can become obsessed with,
you know, researching this stuff instead of like staying in the fight spiritually and relying on Yahw and his spirit to
help us fight those battles. I wanted to bring up a scripture, Isaiah 54:17, um, where it talks about here, I’ll just
read it. I pulled it up on my phone. Um, this scripture I had to really sit with for a minute. No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper, and every
tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of Yahweh, and
their righteousness is of me, says Yahweh. And I thought about that, you know, how many times I have uh
Christians, you know, accuse me of being judgmental or, you know, you’re you’re condemning in your speech and this and
that. And I started to think about I was like we are not fighting people. So I started to look at the scripture and I was like okay this makes more sense. And I’m always open to correction if I’m
seeing things wrongly. But it says every tongue. So life and death is in the power of the tongue. So every tongue
that rises against us in judgment that we shall condemn. And it to me it sounds like anybody who’s speaking something
from their tongue that sets itself up against the knowledge of the most high and then one of us comes to rebuke it with our with our mouth to speak the
truth of the true Messiah Yahusha of scripture. We’re condemning that principality with our speech. We’re we’re we’re coming against that thing
that’s that altar, if you will, that’s setting itself up against the most high.
And the problem is people that are asleep, they take it personally as a personal attack on their faith. And I’ve
seen it time and time again. And that’s a hard one that, you know, I go back to the garden when I think about these
things, too. Like, you know, I’m sure all of us have experienced this from time to time where a a thought pops into your head and it’s like a crazy thought.
You’re just like, whoa, you know, that’s not me. And you’re like, that’s clearly not the father. And I real and it took me a while to realize that, you know,
the enemy gained access to our minds at the garden. So he can put thoughts and he can, you know, put images in our
heads. But the beautiful thing that I take comfort in is he can’t read our minds. He can’t get into that secret place. When I’m talking to the father in
my head, inside myself, the enemy can’t hear that. And that brings me a lot of comfort. But he can put, you know, voices. So being able to tell the
difference between your own voice, the father’s voice, and the enemy’s voice is a big deal because this is why we have
so many people acting out and doing these horrific evil things because they’re listening to that enemy voice
because they don’t have the knowledge of the spiritual realm. They’re they’re asleep. And this bring me to my last point. This is more of a praise report
real quick. I um was involved in a form of martial arts for about 8 months and I kept getting convicted that like I
shouldn’t be doing it and I was like well what’s you know I’m just learning to fight I’m just learning you know and I realized my goodness this particular
place just was very steeped in idolatry and I didn’t I started to feel uncomfortable with how you would bow in the beginning to like the the sensei
like I felt I started getting convicted and I literally had Yah say to me you need to leave or you’re going to It hurt. Now, I don’t know whether that
meant physically, spiritually, probably both, but I I finally gave it up. I I obeyed uh the conviction and I I hung that up about a month and a half ago.
So, praise y’all. I just wanted to share that because I felt like there was a lot of agitation within me and I didn’t even
realize it was there. And once I obeyed and stopped doing that, I felt a sense of peace.
It’s crazy, but that I just wanted to share that because there are a lot of principalities tied to some of these practices like yoga. I didn’t think
martial arts was the same thing, but it really is. It really is. So, that’s all I wanted to share. Thank you. Thank you, sister. I appreciate that.
Yes, it’s um I I in my What lesson was it? think it was my lesson on Christmas part one that I did a couple years ago
where I tried to go into just how real this invisible system is around us and how prevalent it is. Uh maybe I’ll do
something like that again. But yeah, thank you for your sharing. I bet your husband has a a little bit more respect for you now that you know how to beat
him up. Um so go ahead, Brother Landis, you’re up next.
Spot shalom, everyone. And it’s so encouraging to see that there were 65 people. Uh I’m sure there were some new people here today. We welcome you so
much for being here. And what a blessing it is. You know what an absolute blessing. So I wanted to I I love this
teaching. Um it it’s it’s kind of interesting how 2020 and I’ve shared this a little bit before. I went down a
ton of rabbit holes, the conspiracy theory rabbit holes. And I got to the conclusion uh after going, you know, I used to
think the world was, you know, people are generally nice. They’re really good-hearted people. No, we know that everybody’s hearts are wicked. Um and so
it the rabbit holes that I went down uh said, “Nope. Uh I need to know learn more about this full armor of God
because it’s necessary.” the amount of symbolism in everything. Whether you watch it, you see it, you hear it, you
smell it, you taste it, it doesn’t matter. There’s so much symbolism that in everything that we see in this earth.
It’s ridiculous. To expand on uh Samuel, take uh Washington DC, virgin, Virginia,
Mary, Maryland, Virgin Mary. Did you know that there’s a pentagram because uh in part of uh Washington DC it makes a
pentagram with their streets? I mean the the Washington Monument that’s an obelisk. There’s also one in uh St.
Peter Square in Rome. There’s also one in the city of London. Um the the amount of symbolism is in everything. Tell a vision. Tell a vision and programming.
These are all things that the enemy does and it’s in many cases so subtle. I
guarantee if you understood the symbolism and then started watching your TV um you would see you would start seeing it and in the most minor things.
It’s in everything and that’s why you have to have the full armor. It is ridiculously necessary um in this day
and age and you don’t know it until you know it. You know what I’m saying? It it’s it’s it’s crazy. And you think
you’re crazy, first of all, or at least I did. I still am, but that’s neither here nor there. Um, but it’s like, am I
taking crazy pills? Because I’m You see it, you see it in everything. And I I would encourage anybody and everybody.
Um, you know, again, pray pray for the discernment. It is so necessary in this day and age. It’s it you need it. You
have to have it because the enemy, Satan, I mean, let’s call it like it is, you know, I mean, he’s a genius. He’s
incredibly intelligent. He knows how to deceive. He know we’ve all been deceived at some point, right? So, I mean, we got
to give props where they’re due. But our God is bigger, right? Right. He’s bigger and he gives us the tools and the power.
And this is why this teaching, the the full armor is critical, critical, critical. That’s all
that’s all I got to say. Thank you for your teaching.
Thank you, brother. Appreciate you as always. Uh, okay, Philip, you’re up next.
That’s right where I was going with it, too. I think there’s a danger when we start looking at uh what what people would call the other team or whatever
that we start thinking that there’s more than one Elohim that there’s more than one almighty like that there like this
guy can fight against that guy you know what I mean like Yah is above all nothing can happen without his permission he is almighty
and I think we can create and I’m not saying we’re doing it here but I’ve seen it in other places where looking at this
from an angle, we think that we’re uh sort of victims of all of this or that we should have a spirit of fear because
this thing is happening. And I just wanted to to mention that that that that’s a danger. So, we have to be careful and understand that nothing can
happen without permission of the almighty. He is in charge of every little thing that happens. So, that’s all I want to say.
Amen, brother. Thank you. I appreciate that insight. Brother Rambo, you are up next.
Again, thank you for this uh this teaching. So, in the US military, we have a doctrinal term called destroy.
And most people would think destroy means to make break all of their equipment and kill all of their people.
But that’s not the case. To destroy the enemy is to make them combat ineffective.
[clears throat]
They can have all their equipment and they can have all their personnel in a spot. But if we’ve created and set the
condition where they cannot maneuver, they cannot produce fires on us, they
have become combat ineffective. And that was what was so great about your teaching is it showing us how the
adversary is making us combat ineffective in the spiritual realm.
Um and this teaching was great in exposing that and we need to be aware of this. Uh I have been convicted in this
teaching of how in my prayer life I have been combat ineffective and so this
teaching is helping me to re-evaluate myself and how to move forward. Um then
the second thing I wanted to mention a great book if you can handle reading it is called the two Babylons by Alexander Hislap.
Um he goes into great detail to expose how the whole world is Babylon. There’s
a reason why Daniel’s uh the vision that Nebuchadnezzar had with the statue
where the head is gold, the shoulders are silver, the waist is bronze, the
legs are iron, and the feet are iron and clay. And that the other vision was of the beasts, and the last beast was Rome.
And when you understand those two visions, you see that we are still in the Babylonian system.
As Samuel um and Luke pointed out very well, all of Babylonian religious system is all
around us. It’s everywhere. It’s pervasive. The names have changed
because of different people groups, because of the splitting of the nations when the languages were changed at
Babylon. But the religious system was already established by Nimrod before the people were pushed out and the
languages were changed, right?
And so everything the whole all the Roman Catholic system all of the systems
that we have in place all the governments of the world it’s all Babylonian. And when you understand that
uh then it’s like the movie The Wizard of Oz where Yhovah pulls that curtain
away. you see the enemy there and I don’t remember where the verse is but it tells us we will look upon the
adversary and we will say this guy is who led the nations astray
right and so he pulled the curtain away and I was like whoa Christmas
that’s all pagan worship Babylonian worship Easter Babylonian worship and on
and on and on. And so, um, those are the two points that I wanted to to bring up. Oh, thank you, brother. Appreciate it.
It’s all good stuff, man. I love your comments today, everybody. Okay, brother Cordon, you are up next.
Thank you, Ed, and Shabbat shalom, everyone. So, first and foremost, um, great teaching as far as that goes. I
think one of the things that I used to be, and this was years and years ago when I was a teenager, um before I ever
became a disciple of Yeshua, I uh pretty much was involved in Wikah and I was in
involved with tarot cards, Ouija boards, uh yoga, everything like that. And you know, the interesting thing about it is
is how a lot of that is actually being influenced in the world. Like it’s it’s almost like a slow burn. It’s like it
went from just basically being like this subtle taboo of like, oh, we don’t talk about that. We No, no, no, no, no. And
now it’s progressively got stronger and it’s gotten stronger in the homosexual community. It’s gotten stronger
basically and in and even with Christians now where it’s like we’re channeling rocks, we’re channeling
energies, we’re channeling positive karma. And even churches now have it so
where they have yoga sessions inside of their churches now, inside of their congregations. And it’s like, oh well,
this is just voluntary stretching. We’re doing these things. We’re doing namaste.
And namaste is actually this word of saying like I honor the God in you as you honor the God in me. And it it it’s
very intriguing how even it even when I go into like every now and then I like to kind of wander
into different sort of department stores and I was at a Five Below and I was just wandering around and all of a sudden
there’s these books on barrel cards right there, horoscope, other things like that. And it’s just kind of one of
those things where when we think of something of being what used to be taboo, which used to be like, you know,
um, you know, uh, don’t speak, don’t don’t say something. And there’s like a thing in the military they used to actually have like don’t don’t talk
don’t tell. So don’t ask don’t tell.
Don’t ask don’t tell policy that now it’s become so open uh open like this cornucopia of flowers that it just
becomes like oh it’s not a big deal anymore. Like it’s perfectly fine, perfectly content, perfectly okay. And you know one of the things that it
remind me of is that you know the enemy does things under slow intentions to make things up. There’s an old saying
that I like to use that if you give evil an inch, it will take a mile. And you know, evil will always be there to try
to take you down. And there’s a movie, if you guys ever get a chance to watch it, it’s free of charge. Uh it’s a Christian movie. Uh, I actually own it
because it’s super convicting. But it’s a debate between a psychologist who’s an
atheist and a demon and a man who’s a serial killer demon. It’s called Nefarious.
Highly recommend it. Very well done. And it shows how
something so small as a debate can have a huge impact in the spiritual world.
And these things as far as that goes and such, their whole purpose is to send you to hell. Their whole purpose is to make
it so that you are the God and to make you feel God.
So that way basically in the end you can lose it all. And granted we have Yeshua,
but I think it’s also one of those things that when we talk about things of like keeping his commandments holy, studying this to other people rather
1 hour, 1 minute, 1 second
than just basically like, huh, interesting. Maybe I should learn a little bit about this. maybe I should kind of do some thorough examination.
1 hour, 1 minute, 9 seconds
And so what Paul is really saying instead of just basically going out of the idea of well, you know, we’re not
1 hour, 1 minute, 16 seconds
Christian, we’re Christians, we don’t have to blah blah blah, all this other stuff. It’s just so defiantly against us. And I get this all the time, even in
1 hour, 1 minute, 24 seconds
sometimes with my family, and I have to be patient with it, and I have to go through the whole process. But it just becomes one of those things where
1 hour, 1 minute, 32 seconds
so [snorts] much evidence is against us because the whole purpose is for us to fall on our fla face and not do
1 hour, 1 minute, 40 seconds
anything. I think the biggest distraction we actually have as disciples of Yeshua more than anything else as far as that goes is when we
1 hour, 1 minute, 49 seconds
become laxidasical. We don’t care and we just kind of just go with the flow. And that’s my time. Thanks again.
1 hour, 1 minute, 56 seconds
Thank you, brother. As always, looking forward to seeing you this week. Thank you. Oh, absolutely. Okay, Melanie, you are up next.
1 hour, 2 minutes, 3 seconds
Okay, first of all, I’m I’m kind of new here. I’ve been listening to you for a little bit on YouTube, but um I just
1 hour, 2 minutes, 10 seconds
wanted to say thank you for your teachings. They’ve really been helpful.
1 hour, 2 minutes, 15 seconds
And um I’m kind of nervous, so just bear with me.
1 hour, 2 minutes, 19 seconds
Oh, that’s okay. You’re among friends here.
1 hour, 2 minutes, 22 seconds
I know. Um, I guess it was back when COVID came around and I just felt I mean I was I was going to church then and I I
1 hour, 2 minutes, 31 seconds
felt like a shift in spirit like something changed over us at that time.
1 hour, 2 minutes, 36 seconds
But I remember praying and this is before I was understanding Torah or anything. But I prayed um, you know, for
1 hour, 2 minutes, 43 seconds
for God. I said I just want to be where Jesus is. I want to be where Yeshua is, you know, when he comes back. That’s
1 hour, 2 minutes, 51 seconds
what I wanted. And um I remember, you know, well, I just feel like sometimes people in the church and I don’t mean
1 hour, 2 minutes, 59 seconds
this negatively, but sometimes we we worship and we don’t even realize what we’re or who we’re worshiping. And you
1 hour, 3 minutes, 7 seconds
know, I had some pretty bad things happen during that time and after. And I started searching, you know, trying to
1 hour, 3 minutes, 16 seconds
figure out and then I came to, you know, looking in like Psalms and 119, you know, I I wanted to be well, long
1 hour, 3 minutes, 25 seconds
story short, what what the father showed me was that when we worship him, we have to do it by his by the by the layout
1 hour, 3 minutes, 34 seconds
that he’s given us in the Torah. You know, when we’re outside of that, then we’re not in his covenant. We’re not in his space.
1 hour, 3 minutes, 41 seconds
Straight. Oh yes. And so that’s all I really wanted to share. I just wanted to say that I think sometimes we just we’re reaching
1 hour, 3 minutes, 50 seconds
out to things that we don’t even know, you know, that we are. But when your eyes become open to it, then you know,
1 hour, 3 minutes, 58 seconds
it’s all right there in the word how we’re to to worship him. So anyhow, thank you very much.
1 hour, 4 minutes, 4 seconds
Well, thank you Melanie for your wonderful first comment. It was awesome.
1 hour, 4 minutes, 8 seconds
Please don’t hesitate to do that in the future. Okay. The Elkins family is up. Shabbat shalom.
1 hour, 4 minutes, 15 seconds
Shabbat shalom, brother and sister. Shabbat shalom.
1 hour, 4 minutes, 21 seconds
Um, we really appreciate these teachings. Uh, we’ve been watching the teachings for a little bit. This is our first Shabbat, you know, showing up
1 hour, 4 minutes, 30 seconds
other than uh we watched last week’s Shabbat service, but we’ve been watching some teachings. So, we’re new to the
1 hour, 4 minutes, 37 seconds
channel, not necessarily new to the walk. Um I will tell you it is a journey
1 hour, 4 minutes, 43 seconds
and um you know the the word is not wrong when it says the whole world has
1 hour, 4 minutes, 52 seconds
been deceived and I will tell you across the gamut we’ve seen a lot of things in
1 hour, 4 minutes, 58 seconds
the name of Yah and um come out of a lot of mixed up stuff
1 hour, 5 minutes, 5 seconds
and it’s all around us but I think the most important thing is um indefinitely there’s a spiritual battle going on and
1 hour, 5 minutes, 14 seconds
it’s it’s all over but when we uh when we definitely understand and the father begins to
1 hour, 5 minutes, 24 seconds
really open our eyes to things I was thinking about 2 Corinthians uh I’m sorry 1 Corinthians 2:14
1 hour, 5 minutes, 32 seconds
but the natural man does not receive the matters of the spirit of Elohim for they are foolishness to him and He is unable
1 hour, 5 minutes, 40 seconds
to know them because they are spiritually discerned.
1 hour, 5 minutes, 45 seconds
15 But he who is spiritual des discerns indeed all matters but he himself is discerned by no one.
1 hour, 5 minutes, 54 seconds
So the father has is calling and has been calling for quite some time all of his people. And
1 hour, 6 minutes, 3 seconds
Yeshua even prayed about this in John 17 where he’s talking about unity that the whole body would come together in unity.
1 hour, 6 minutes, 13 seconds
And uh I believe the father is and you’ve mentioned this before a few times, Ed, that you know the father’s waking people up.
1 hour, 6 minutes, 23 seconds
And uh sometimes when we wake up, we have to catch our footing in the morning when I wake up. It takes me a little
1 hour, 6 minutes, 30 seconds
bit. I can’t just like jump on the floor and start running around doing all these things. But uh it takes some time for me to get my footing, especially at my age.
1 hour, 6 minutes, 40 seconds
Um, but you know the father, he is faithful.
1 hour, 6 minutes, 45 seconds
One thing we can trust throughout the word it says his loving commitment is everlasting. He’s faithful. You know,
1 hour, 6 minutes, 54 seconds
it’s people that mess it up. That’s what happened with the first covenant. The fault was with the people. They had a
1 hour, 7 minutes, 2 seconds
part. They didn’t do it. So the father in his loving kindness, his mercy gave
1 hour, 7 minutes, 10 seconds
us a new covenant or renewed covenant, however you you view view that is it is different from the first covenant
1 hour, 7 minutes, 18 seconds
because it no longer depends on us except for the start of belief in Yeshua. And um it is amazing uh what the
1 hour, 7 minutes, 27 seconds
father can do in the spirit and open our eyes to all these things. I mean, 10 years ago, I mean, we’ve been on this
1 hour, 7 minutes, 36 seconds
journey for a few decades, but 10 years ago, the father really started opening our eyes to some things and and it
1 hour, 7 minutes, 44 seconds
started with Shabbat, guarding it, setting it apart, protecting it, keeping it set apart.
1 hour, 7 minutes, 53 seconds
Um, I don’t really like using the word holy. I like using the word set apart.
1 hour, 7 minutes, 57 seconds
We see that, you know, in in scripture because the father says, you know, he wants his people to be set apart and
1 hour, 8 minutes, 3 seconds
that means different, peculiar, different from everybody else. And what we found is that we were kind of blending in.
1 hour, 8 minutes, 14 seconds
And um the father doesn’t want us to do that if we’re going to be a part of his reign. It’s his reign. We can’t come to
1 hour, 8 minutes, 22 seconds
the root and say here this is how I want to walk this walk. and we have to come to him in submission and and walk his
1 hour, 8 minutes, 29 seconds
way and um he opens things up to us in an amazing way.
1 hour, 8 minutes, 36 seconds
Anyway, thanks guys. Great to see you. Great to have you to hear you sharing. That’s awesome. Appreciate you. Okay, let’s see. Um Elanu is up next.
1 hour, 8 minutes, 47 seconds
Okay, so I said I’m very happy that I’m back together with you. I’m very very
1 hour, 8 minutes, 53 seconds
happy. In fact, where I stay a whole lot of it’s very diffult and even when I come on, it just
1 hour, 9 minutes, 2 seconds
keeps breaking off and off. I’m so happy and I’ve been listening and following the messages on YouTube, especially the
1 hour, 9 minutes, 10 seconds
women that carry the promise. In fact, I was very very blessed with that sharing and I even learned about a woman who hid
1 hour, 9 minutes, 19 seconds
um um Joash. I’ve not read that in my Bible. In fact, as sister Lauren or who shared that thing, I had to go to first
1 hour, 9 minutes, 27 seconds
king and check it up. And truly, it was it. And I’m happy. I’m so happy. And um I want to say I found a fellowship, a
1 hour, 9 minutes, 36 seconds
group of three or four people um that worships Yahweh and does his ways. And um I have actually joined them. Yes. and
1 hour, 9 minutes, 45 seconds
I celebrated the feast with them some few weeks ago like Passover and we
1 hour, 9 minutes, 53 seconds
celebrated Shàot. I’ve not been able to join online but I’m happy. I’m hoping that with this relocation I’ll be able
1 hour, 10 minutes, 1 second
to join every Amen sister. Thank you so much. That was very encouraging and thank you Samuel
1 hour, 10 minutes, 8 seconds
for that little tidbit of technologial tech techn technological input that helped us dear sister Elanu.
1 hour, 10 minutes, 16 seconds
Okay guys we’ll listen man we’ve had a fantastic day. You know this is one of those lessons where it feels it feels
1 hour, 10 minutes, 23 seconds
like the comments are much better than the content itself. I love it when that happens. Your guys’s sharing has been uh awesome.
1 hour, 10 minutes, 32 seconds
Amazing. Please be praying for next week when we get into what the armor really is. And uh pray for open hearts and open
1 hour, 10 minutes, 39 seconds

KEY TAKEAWAYS
- Paul’s armor imagery is presented as rooted in the Hebrew Scriptures, especially Isaiah 59 and Isaiah 11, rather than primarily in Roman military equipment.
- The armor is first YHWH’s armor; believers are invited to put on His character, provision, authority, and cause.
- Part 1 focuses on why armor is needed. The individual pieces of armor are intentionally reserved for Part 2.
- Ephesians 6 describes a real spiritual conflict that is deeper than human disagreement, politics, or visible circumstances.
- The Teaching distinguishes principalities, powers, rulers of darkness, and spiritual hosts of wickedness as parts of an organized opposing hierarchy.
- Deuteronomy 32 and Daniel 10 are used to connect spiritual beings with nations and kingdoms.
- The word “wrestle” emphasizes close, personal conflict rather than a distant battle.
- Darkness is treated biblically as deception, ignorance, sin, lawlessness, rebellion, death, and false worship.
- The unseen spiritual realm can affect the visible world even though believers cannot ordinarily perceive it with their senses.
- Believers should be aware of spiritual opposition without becoming obsessed with speculative details Scripture does not reveal.
- The proper response to spiritual warfare is not fear or fascination with darkness, but standing in YHWH’s strength and Word.

QUESTIONS ANSWERED
QUICK ANSWER
The Full Armor of Yah is the complete spiritual protection Yah provides believers so they can stand against the spiritual forces of wickedness. In Ephesians 6, the armor consists of the belt of truth, breastplate of righteousness, gospel of peace, shield of faith, helmet of salvation, and sword of the Spirit—the Word of Yah—supported by continual prayer. The Teaching emphasizes that every piece is necessary; neglecting one area can leave the believer vulnerable to spiritual attack.
A believer puts on the armor by living according to what is written: allowing Yah’s Word rather than tradition, feelings, culture, fear, or popular opinion to define truth; trusting in Yeshua for righteousness while expressing that righteousness through obedience; standing securely in reconciliation and covenant peace with Yah; trusting Him even when circumstances are difficult or His answer is “no”; remaining confident in His salvation and promises; and knowing and applying the whole counsel of Scripture. The Teaching repeatedly points to Yeshua’s response to temptation as the model for spiritual warfare: “It is written.”
Putting on the armor, therefore, is not a ritual or simply saying a prayer each morning. It is a way of living—grounded in truth, righteousness, obedience, peace, faith, salvation, Scripture, and prayer—so that when spiritual opposition comes, the believer is prepared to stand.
Key Scriptures

• John 17:17; John 14:6 – Yeshua identifies the Father’s Word as truth and Himself as the truth.
• Genesis 3:1-6; Matthew 15:3-9 – Truth is tested through twisting Yah’s words, human tradition, and competing voices.
• Genesis 15:6; Deuteronomy 6:25 – The Teaching presents righteousness as credited through faith and expressed through obedience.
• James 2:17; Romans 3:31; Romans 2:13 – Faith and obedience are presented as complementary rather than opposing realities.
• Ephesians 2:8-10 – Salvation is by grace through faith, while believers are created for good works.

• 2 Corinthians 13:5; Hebrews 3:14 – The helmet of salvation includes confidence alongside humble self-examination and endurance.
• Hebrews 4:12; 2 Timothy 3:16-17 – The sword of the Spirit is the living Word of Yah; Scripture equips the believer for righteousness.
